No TSA PreCheck at the midfield concourse.

Either way, if you have very cumbersome shoes it is possible you may need to take them off at TSA PreCheck. I have a pair of regular loafer style shoes and they quite often need a second look after I've attempted to use the WTMD..

For BA I heard 2014, all things being equal. BA had plans for new cabin fittings and toilets that were never fitted to an aircraft. The only part of it that was fitted were the new, blue seats after the Paris accident., Those new seats provided weight savings that offset the kevlar fuel tank linings...

Is it worth what? These questions are completely subjective based on YOUR opinion of the value of the perks of Mint relative to the cost of the upgraded seat.

If everyone thought it was worth it then economy wouldn't exist, if nobody thought it was worth it then Mint wouldn't be offered on the route.

One thing I forgot completely about once onboard was the Loft area at the back of the Upper Class cabin...I had seen it on my way in, meant to try it out and it wasn't until disembarkment that I remembered it!

Transcontinental routes on "premium" routes is the answer to your question and has been for some time. Try JetBlue Mint, Delta One, AA First Class or United Business between NYC and LAX... With careful looking you might be able to find flat bed seating on other routes where you'll at least...

Lounge access guaranteed and full meals on even the very shortest flights (30mins) with pretty much every carrier... Is that really that important? People complain about airline food anyway. It was also having structural issues towards the end of its life with leaks and the roof in general being the most severe.

The building doesn't fit in with JFK's masterplan for a smaller number of much larger terminals, though that was possibly conceived knowing that T3 was going to be demolished.

JFK Terminal 7. More often than not requires being towed onto the stand because space is so tight. With the terminal dating back to the 1960s it wasn't realiy designed for anything bigger than VC-10s and 707s...Another reason why BA won't/can't operate the A380 to JFK.

On a related note when BA38 landed short of the runway at LHR in 2008 BA gave all the passengers Gold status (oneworld Emerald) for a year.

If you fly alone, once you take your team with you. Add that you can use more airports and do not have to connect. There will always be a market for first class, maybe on limited routes and or in smaller cabins. I know enough people that just buy the highest cabin available regardless of what the seat 10ft behind is like. Who knows? It is quite possible that the typical customers will mostly move to private jets...

This aircraft is not in oneworld titles but is preserved at Dunsfold, not far from Gatwick.
