MEM is currently under going major renovation where the large center concourse is being removed and replaced with a much wider and larger terminal, The best I recall we always had braniff dating back to the 60s, mid 70,s to early 80,s looked like Delta- dc8- dc9 -727- l-1011 cv 880 for a while South...

Did TWA mainline ever serve MEM? I remember Trans World Express served MEM with turboprops. They had one gate at the end of the C concourse. AA later used that gate and served STL with an E145 until around 2005. Twa Mainline only served mem for a very short time in the mid or later 80,s I only reca...

Wasn't FedEx originally to have their main hub in Little Rock, but couldn't get the tax breaks there that Memphis ended up conceding? What would MEM be with no FedEx. Mountain does fly a few caravans in here (mem) but not that many...I don't recall seeing an Atr here but they could have,Im really surprised to hear they had Atr,s, I don't know their route schedules but given their record as poor performance in the cold north I'm surprised they have them

Theres plenty to do there full function facilities , a/c tower. sleeping quarters,, Other end of the isle is part of the star wars defense program, Cargo flights bring in food and meds and mail once a week... if you need a hospitial quick it take 8 hrs 4 from hnl and 4 back,,But there are many nice ...

I know I bring a ton of freight in from Europe now , trucks of it and some goes dl and overflow goes klm and air france Dl handles both airlines cargo facilities in atl..
