i know UA has been flying EWR-LAX/SFO from day one. I meant the international flights. I remember reading that UA was going to station the 78J at EWR for TATL flights only. I could be wrong I'm not sure UA ever said that explicitly, I think it was assumed on a.netters that the 78Js if used on inter...Jump to post
I thought the 78J were flying exclusively out of EWR? i guess UA threw that idea out the window. They've been flying EWR-LAX from day one. i know UA has been flying EWR-LAX/SFO from day one. Hi All - I frequently read this forum because I'm interested in United's fleet, but almost never post because i'm not as familiar with it as all of you. I tried to read back to see if this had been posted, but I couldn't find it. If this is a duplicate or a repeat topic, please let me know and I&qu...Jump to post
isnt UA scheduled to receive 2 77W this year? i remember reading somewhere that they were set to be delivered 4Q 2019. Yes you're correct. Those should also sport UA's new livery, which should look amazing on the 77W :) Thank you for confirming! EVEN BETTER!!!! i cant wait to see the 77W in the new...Jump to post
This move was expected. DL is extremely weak in Asia compared to AA and UA. will moving all their Ops to HND help DL? does HND offer more connections via partner airlines?
How many cities does DL serve in asia compared to AA and UA??
Here we go again with these Emotional pets that don't belong in the cabin................... SMFH!!!! So you don't see the biting as a problem? I don't know the solution because bona fide emotional support animals should be permitted in the cabin, but its hard to weed out the people abusing the sys...Jump to post

After reading the article, i have to say the fault is on the passenger. Here are the issues i found after reading the article He obviously didn't do his HW when he booked the flight. 1) he booked a basic economy seat 2) ticket was a from a 3rd party site (Orbitz) 3) booked a ticket that was set to a...Jump to post
Seat maps for the reconfigured 788/789 via TPG: https://thepointsguy.com/news/united-787-polaris-retrofit/ I'm curious on why UA decreased the number of Econ+ seats on both the 788 and 789 with the new seatmap.......it'll make it harder to snatch a econ+ seat. UA was able to keep the same number of...Jump to post
I love how DEN has 2 UA clubs and they both placed in great locations with a great view of the tarmac. Only downside, they are in need of some renovations. From what i remember, DEN will not be receiving a Polaris lounge, which makes sense since they only have 2 or 3 long haul routes. What lounge do...Jump to post
Of the US3, i only see the 777X in UA and AA. DL is relying on the A359 and possibly the A35K. Even the 77W is too much plane for DL, so i dont see them getting the 777X. UA and AA made the 77W work since they both fly longer routes that require the range and capacity for both TPAC and TATL routes. ...Jump to post

The new seats on the 764 look no different than their current J seats. These just look like a modified version of their old J seats, which IMO was extremely small and cramped. If they really wanted to, they could of modified their suites seat so that it would work on the 764. DL just got lazy....Jump to post

I think you mean KE through ICN...not KL...and besides, KL doesn't fly to SEA.
Why doesn't DL fly SEA-NGO? LOL!
Check this out, I've been checking for a while but they are finally up. Boeing makes 3D computer models of each airline livery on each plane that their customers have and that they still sell. They finally updated the United livery, so you can now see what it looks like on the 777, 787, 737, and 73...Jump to post

A.net really needs to have a useful search function. Wasn't this question addressed in detail just in the last week? This topic has been brought a number of times! But to answer the OP questions.... UA has a number of A359, 77W, 78J, and 789 on order. Im sure those planes can pick up and replace th...Jump to post
hmm...not too sure how i feel about this. Where would the backup be if the pilot passed out? got sick? bathroom break? What if the pilot was crazy like the one on Germanwings? Even if there was a co-pilot on the ground that could monitor the flight, its still a safety risk. Im sure we'll have planes...Jump to post

If it is indeed a win for Boeing then it seems set to be some combination of 787s - on the NZ thread there's a link to a new interview with the CFO who says it's between the 787 and the A350.
Is there a list of planes that are due for the new livery?Jump to post

I dont think SEA/YVR is a threat to the SFO TPAC's supremacy. SEA is extremely congested when it comes to gates and terminal space. Unless they can expand their terminals, i dont see them being a threat to SFO.
I could be wrong, so please correct me if needed.

why not? I believe the 800 is cheaper than the dash 8

Does Boeing offer a "Regional" lower-MTOW B787-8 (like Airbus now does with the 250T MTOW A359) so that UA can use them on trans-con and TATL and pay lower fees based on weights? Boeing did offer the 787-3 as a domestic version of the 788 but that program got cancelled. That would of been...Jump to post
The 767 is by far one of my favorite planes to fly on after the the 747 and 777. The comfort of the 2-3-2 in Y is great, only 1 middle seat per row! 767 was a workhorse for airlines! look at UA, they use them heavily on TATL flights and also South America. The plane is small enough but just big enou...Jump to post
I still need to fly on one. Im not a fan of the A380, but it is a engineering marvel being able to get that big ass plane in the air!Jump to post
Well atleast they both now have a similar J products...you're just paying for a different level of service. If i wanted to book a J/Y seat, i'd go with UA since its more comfortable being on the 788. For you avgeeks, the 748 upper deck is a win!!!Jump to post

What livery doesn't look great on the 752?
God bless you, this is amazing. It's an expectedly poor fit with the A320, but I think it looks great on the 757 and the RJ. This may actually really improve the look of the RJ fleet. The true test of the livery will be how it looks on the WB fleet. Should see it on a 787-8 April 27th...… What's go...Jump to post
This alone is worthy of praise, especially after the Dr Dao fiasco. It's people who make up the airline. It's people who pay to fly on these planes. It's a bold statement to put this on the front of every aircraft. I don't fully love this livery, but this was a great move. https://pbs.twimg.com/med...Jump to post
Hello United fleet experts, Are there any aircraft that still sport CO's old checkerboard fabric economy seat covers (like the GE-powered ex-CO 772ERs with the 2-2-2 lieflat biz class)? Also on the UA fleet site, what are the "old seat covers" vs. "new seat covers" on the 752s? ...Jump to post
I love the new tail! love how the gradient look. Its a nice fresh look for UA.
i think they could of added more color, but its still an improvement over the current one which was old and outdated.
Except I do not have time to goto the airline's websites and find the seat maps, wherever they decide to publish them. I have NEVER gone to seat guru and found erroneous layouts. Airlines do not normally change seat configs. Really? The last place you look? Whats the first and second? Genuinely cur...Jump to post
