It looked like the pilot was trying to abort the landing earlier and go-around, but the spoilers remained deployed preventing them from aborting the landing. Just my "rookie" observation.

Can't speak to the 50 seater, but in the early part of this century US did have 1900's doing ACY-PHL a few times a day. US also flew PIT-ACY throughout the 90's on mainline. an aerial photo was recently pulished with about 15 aircraft all tucked up to each other on a paddock away from hangars. AN 124 that has been withdrawn for months, several other propeller aircraft, a 737 and the AN-22 all appear to be unharmed or intact at least!
