AC will not be replacing their 777 until the 2030s. Some only recently joined the fleet. The interiors have (or are in the process) of being updated. I don’t think AC is “rattled” by a competing bid of $1/share more, and still requires government funding to succeed. AC had to release a statement and they simply reiterated their commitment to the Montreal region and Quebec economy.
