I also remember one webcam at an international airport, can't remember which it was, and it had buttons so you could move it around and zoom in and stuff like that.

I think it's pretty much like a rain-gutter kinda thing. I've seen 'em a rew time. When it's rained water can still make it's way through the gap between the a/c and the jetway so it kinda deflects the water to the side.

Not really. To me, it just means they have a TON of experience and you're in for a great flight! I know that they have to be in tippity-top medical condition (mandated by the FAA) or else they'll be pulled on that plane so fast their heads will spin!
