Thank you for this report. Westjet is definitely improving in many areas. The last meal service that you had while on the 737 reminded me of what used to be served to Y class passengers in the 70s and 80s. That is not a criticism either. I miss those days.

How sweet would B6 JFK/BOS be. Not holding my breath though. When the A220 comes to B6, you never know what could happen. The UA MAX 9 and OGG and SNA

As the title says, is the new and improved MAX 9 capable of flying into either Maui or Orange County? I am assuming with the new engines and lighter frame that it should at least be able to comfortably land at Kahului, but I could be wrong. Any information or thoughts?

UA Diversions from EWR to LAX on 7/30

Does anyone have any idea why both UA 751 and UA 1871 from EWR to LAX diverted today. Flight 751 diverted to CLE and flight 1871 diverted to DEN. Any info or updates as to why?

Please, please write to United to let them know of your experience aboard your flight to ORD! That was completely unacceptable behavior on the flight attendants' part and the company should be aware of your inflight ordeal, especially regarding the "service" provided by that particular set...

Really enjoyed your trip report. jetBlue is one of my favorite airlines. I really like their service and I try to fly them whenever I can. I know that UA is trying very hard to improve, and in many ways they are, but their new slimline seats however, are absolutely HORRIBLE! I just flew into LAX yes...

I am also not sure why anyone would complain about an airline offering its customers a service enhancement. Even though this meal service is only available on select routes, it's still an improvement. Kudos to DL.

I'm just curious. What is it that DL is doing that enables the company to earn almost three times as much as UA. I really want UA to succeed under Oscar Munoz and I know that they will, but how does DL consistently outperform its peers in almost every metric?

These are 24 E75s originally ordered by RAH to be operated on the UAX contract. It now becomes more cost-effective for United to acquire them then lease back to RAH to operate for UAX. Keep an eye on those 'other' orders held by RAH, too. By those "other orders", do you mean the C Series ...

The AC and crew are both based out of IAH. There are usually two 787's on the ground at the same time. One arrives from NRT and goes to IAH, the other arrives from IAH and goes to NRT. I would love to see UA add more international flying from DEN... For November DEN-NRT-DEN will be staffed with NTA...

LAX is my home airport and while it is far from perfect, our on time stats are fairly respectable. I too have never noticed LAX as being plagued by delays and overcrowding. Granted, the gate space can be rather tight at certain terminals, but nothing out of the ordinary, at least not in my opinion.

I don't know if United's current -700 fleet is ETOPS capable, but if not, does United have any plans to certify some of their new-build -700s so that they are ETOPS ready? I'm thinking that if this were the case, then maybe UA could restart SNA to the Hawaiian Islands as well as offer service from B...
