The pic in the NYT article looks telling. Wings intact, engines intact, front section intact. But totally burnt cabin. Appears that the fire broke out there. As its reported it was a COV patient transport with a companion, perhaps something related to oxygen?

Just left DXB on EK to PRG, take off immediately after a plane landed. Was surprised, thought we would queue.

On board, business cabin completely full, due to all the upgrades.

That said, the food on EK could use some overhaul. Grtting worse and worse.
