Looks to be fully booked; not seeing the option for it anymore on Google Flights. What time does t leave? Right now it's timed for an 09:00L departure. Is AA going to have any enthusiast flights like some of the other airlines have had (Bangladesh Biman with the DC-10 comes to mind) ? Or are they j...Jump to post
So to recap the AA expansion at DFW: AA/Eagle taking over E satellite -- I assume they're keeping the LUS gates? I've also seen talk of a stinger or expansion off the south end of D - How many gates is this and will it be all AA? What happened to the old rumors of a south stinger in B to match the ...Jump to post
I am unsure of the change. Were you given Group 5? If not, the most likely reason is that your AAdvantage number was not attached to the reservation, or the FOP for the ticket was not booked with your eligible credit or debit card. (Which is completely crazy, since American offers more miles if book...Jump to post
Call me cold or insensitive, but this issue always gets me a little heated. Some people are very heavy. I myself am actually very tall, though well within average height/weight ratio. Regardless of why somebody is extremely overweight, the fact for all of us is the exact same: It is what it is. Neit...Jump to post
I haven't ever really had an issue with it at all. I've worked in multiple capacities in commercial, corporate, and military aviation, and for the most part was openly gay, though very few people assumed I was. When they found out they were surprised, but at the same time didn't care one bit. One pl...Jump to post
Thanks for a nice report on this new aircraft type!
Maybe it's just my own opinion, but I am not very inspired by the interior design from BBD. Something about the way to overhead bins look remind me of a Russian aircraft from 20 years ago.
I know this sounds kind of sacrilege, but my iPhone seems to do a decent job when I have it bumped up to 4K.
I've jogged my memory as best I can, and I can't really say which of the 3 flights were the worst. I will say that all of them had one thing in common: I was suffering a hangover straight from the fires of hell. #1- Up all night partying in Pensacola with Navy buddies. Flying home NRSA...got the mid...Jump to post
I thought Port Columbus and Sky Harbor had the two most unique names of our major US airports. Guess Sky Harbor is the last one standing, even the effort by a former mayor to name it after Barry Goldwater ensued in major outrage by the locals. Don't forget Albuquerque International Sunport, or now,...Jump to post
I don't really have rules for myself, and I have found that I have become much more "fluid" as I get older. Some of this has to do with non rev travel, and some just from having flown on enough airplanes that I am just happy to be flying. I do notice patterns tho: -If a window is to be had, I'll tak...Jump to post
As others have said, it is very much a situational based procedure. Almost 100% of the time if Y is oversold, and F (or J) are available, complementary upgrades will be awarded to those members with the highest status who have elected to not use their upgrades on that particular flight. In some case...Jump to post

The airport in Grand Prairie you are asking about is the former NAS Dallas. I don't think the runways themselves are used at all anymore, but I think the National Guard or other military activities still occur on the property.

While I was saving for my own car, I started out "sharing" my mom's 2003 sinfully ugly CRV EX. Nice report. I am not sure if this had to do with the maintenance delay, but it looks like the wing was missing a flap canoe. It's visibly missing in one of your pictures, and you can see the actuator. (14th photo.) Glad your delay wasn't too long!
