Air Afrique BMI Monarch Sabena Swissair I'm surprised there haven't been more Air Afrique votes! Iconic color scheme, and a cool symbol of West African decolonization and independence. They had a hugely varied fleet, from heavy piston types to widebodies, and had a very strong safety record (the on...Jump to post
SK has lots of regional flights! I've flown them many times inside of Norway. I don't follow your logic on speaking English. Widroe is a Norwegian airline for mostly smaller markets along the coast. The person I read the information from must have been incorrect then. A national airline is importan...Jump to post
Thanks for sharing. I will miss seeing these aircraft, my first ever long haul flight was on PH-BFY.Jump to post

I actually quite like the existing Aegean livery. It avoids the nonsense wavy lines across the fuselage and grade A typical blue everywhere. And another tail fin, empenage covering design with a slight silver flourish on the leading edge is not new or interesting. A shame. I agree, I am also a fan ...Jump to post
KLM also made some changes to their catering offering in Economy Class, IMO it’s gone down hill.Jump to post
I remember flying MT and not being allowed to take a hot drink onboard. When I worked at Swissport we were told to actively halt passengers with hot drinks from boarding the aircraft and the PSA’s did the same at LS. This did lead to some arguments, but that’s the rules they wanted! Also the earphon...Jump to post
The formal Biman reveal in the press https://aboutmanchester.co.uk/biman-bangladesh-airlines-return-to-manchester-airport-from-new-year/ Market size seems reasonable and with more efficient aircraft at hand, may be it will be sustainable this time "It is a boost to the many Bangladeshi communi...Jump to post
Virgin are going after the Manchester slots: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-09-26/virgin-atlantic-targets-manchester-growth-with-thomas-cook-slots And as a sign of how serious they are, they say that should they get them, they will use Delta to grab the slots owing to the fact VS don’...Jump to post
This is sad news. My family have been using Thomas Cook for years! I also flew with MT a lot last year too, I really liked their service onboard. What a shame.Jump to post
Any ideas on when Virgin starts the A35K. Also it looks like Turkish will be using the 789 from now on https://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news/2019/09/11/turkish-airlines-brings-luxe-787-9-dreamliner-to.html?iana=hpmvp_atl_news_headline I wondered why the fire trucks were parked there when I was f...Jump to post

Great news for the A220 and AF!! I’m looking forward to flying on this aircraft! https://www.airfranceklm.com/sites/default/files/styles/articles/public/actualite/a220-klm.jpg?itok=LWGqd-KW What a beauty, congrats to Airbus, Bombardier and AF! OP, nit-picking, but LN 7542 would be a 737-800, and not a 737-8K2; Boeing dropped the Customer Code a few years ago. By the way, K2 is Transavia, not KLM. For some reason, all the 7/8/900’s delivered to KLM are K2’s, and not 06’s..... Anybody know why...? Ordered by Transavia, then transferred to ...Jump to post
I drive a Renault, which replaced my Kia, which replaced my Proton (local car company), which replaced my junk of a Honda. Yes, you heard that right, junk of a Honda . The most UNRELIABLE car I've ever owned! That POS basically turned me off Japanese cars forever! My friend here bought a 2018 Honda...Jump to post
I used to have a Mk7 Volkswagen Golf, I sold it last year as I moved abroad. It was a really good car! For my next car I’m looking at Mercedes-Benz. How’s the Subaru? All the TMC cities could be linked to JFK and BOS. This would definitely speed up a European expansion timetable for B6. Flyguy I could definitely see TC adding BOS/JFK and a deeper partnership with B6. B6 could offer vacation packages to continental Europe destinations that TC flies to, and TC cou...Jump to post
Nearly every flight I’ve had from Frankfurt was boarded by bus. It was very cool boarding D-AIFD through the stairs!
However, dispatching a 752 with bus boardings in the busy summer at MAN was often difficult especially when there was a seating issue or late PAX!
I’m a big fan of JAL’s Tsuru it looks very good on their aircraft. I’ve also always enjoyed ANA’s livery. As a very young child; I remember travelling one an old ANA (All Nippon Airways) 727. With a light-blue cheatline and a light-blue painted 'mohawk', with some sort primitive helicopter design on...Jump to post
The Shining is probably my favourite horror movie, I always enjoy watching it! I also really like 28 Days Later, that film scared me a lot when I first watched it; probably because it was close to home. A question on the terminal transformation for those in the know. The (greatly appreciated!) updates on the expanded T2 are pretty detailled. Is there any sign yet of any carrier lounges? I don’t mean Escape etc....rather an LH or SkyTeam or other. Thanks... I have too thought about this. I wonder i...Jump to post
