Re: Turkish Airlines eyes expansion in India; to double operations in Mumbai, Delhi

No, there is no Indian carrier flying to Turkey at the moment. An Indian carrier can still utilize 14 weekly frequencies to Turkey. Only Turkish airlines are utilizing the quota fully. So If an Indian carrier flies to turkey then it means Turkish would have to decrease its frequencies? If that happ...

Not a bad thing if they cancel. At least those aircraft will likely go to a carrier that knows how to maintain them.

And Wall Street apparently doesn't care either... Boeing stock is up $13 today - markets are up overall but still.

I think the issue is that this was at an airport in the US. So perfectly reasonable to expect announcements in English regardless of where the flight was going. To be fair, with that kind of trip time and aircraft plus a stop both ways you're better off flying PNQ-DEL/BLR and catch the LH nonstop. At least you get a full night of sleep and a legitimate long haul product.

The Privatair flight had decent seats and only had to stop on the way out of PNQ.

I am not sure how AA has it set up but at a previous employer we had a rule that if you had 3 or more days of consecutive sick days you had to provide a doctor's certificate or it would not be authorized as sick time.

I suspect AA is looking to do something similar with their PTO time.

Just to be clear, that article, other than the title, comes from a syndicated news feed from Bloomberg. So assign responsibility for the tabloid quality reporting to the correct source.

Having said that, the title was created from the quote of a passenger so not the best source of information.

Unless its an emergency not likely that PK flights would be allowed to use Indian airports for diversion. Also for foreign carriers with Pakistani nationals on board India would likely not let them off of the aircraft which could complicate things in the event of a crew timeout.
