It's pretty impressive for Boeing that the 787 is the frontrunner here. One would think the A330NEO is made for an operator like this, but the 787 sales have been a shining light for Boeing in recent years amidst the other turmoil, comfortably defeating the A330NEO in key contests.

UA should cancel the 737-10 and order the A321NEO. Even if it takes longer to arrive, at least it will arrive more or less when it says so on the tin rather than rely on one of the many paper planes Boeing is now (in)famous for.

There is a huge difference between their International Widebody ops and A32S fleet. Their domestic network around the A32S fleet are fine, infact great. Definitely a step above Indigo and the others. The 737NG once was supposed to have the cockpit section of the 757 including the cockpit of course. This would have changed a lot, but customers, especially Southwest obviously, were not happy with this idea. They even wanted the NG to be more "basic" than it is now. Listening to the like...

There is no spare capacity on either of those routes to make any incremental traffic from Dhaka workable. Air Tanzania operated DAR-BOM on an A220 for a while - not sure if they still do. That's a long flight over the water for a smaller than usual narrowbody, similar to this one by Breeze.

Presumably that would be a large chunk, as from an O&D perspective there aren't many Punjabis in KUL/SIN as there are in other parts of the world (UK/Canada/Australia).
