I think Cyprus Airways needs to actually grow in order to survive. They have cut themselves to the point where profit is currently impossible. Are there any good opportunities left in Europe in which they can offset the seasonality of their home market?

Frankly, the only way I would spend $5M on this venture is to buy the airline (Vision). At $5M, it is a good buy. The two 737s would be worth somewhere close to that money.

I suspect that UA is serving "critical" short corridors with these planes. When you are able to take a market with 10 ER4s and make them 7 E75s, you are boosting the bottom line and easing congestion at the same time as improving the hard product.

I have been able to generate load factors for all of 2012. Some routes showed heavy seasonality and some of the feeder routes (barring EAS) were real dogs. However, there are a number of really good routes too.
