Wow, that video of the crash is horrific! It appears both wings collapsed before impact!! The left wing literally collapses milliseconds before impact, and it appears the right wing was already folded up. Perhaps a structural failure?

I have tried to research the company involved in this crash. It appears their website has been pulled. Does anyone know what their fleet consisted of? Apparently the ceiling was only 900 feet at the time of the crash. Why would they even attempt to fly a tour with such a low ceiling?

Been saying this for years. Airlines and cheap labor are a bad mix. Some of these contractors pay absolute garbage with no benefits. You can make more working at a Walmart these days. Spirit would be smart to get their own staff. I'm sure there are some big wigs suggesting this somewhere.

I'm sorry, but IFE is a total bonus IMO. From a customers perspective, it is nice to have the ability to watch shows, movies, live TV, and whatever else it can do. I would rather fly with IFE than use say my phone to pass the time.

Is there any report of the sea state when the put the 737 in? Was it a help or a hindrance? Could they see the water surface, given that it was nighttime? Would the landing lights do an adequate job, or was there moonlight? About ATC, I think she needs to know souls and fuel for many basic reasons....
