Interesting (random) fact: today's TK1883/TK1884 VIE rotation was operated by B789 instead of the originally scheduled A321. I see B789 scheduled randomly over the coming days as well.

I am surprised they used such a big type (is it the A333?) instead of an A320/321/738 If I read the photo correctly, this has to be TK2150 IST ESB - it is scheduled as a daily A333 until 3 June, A333 is also used on the daily rotation to ADB. My guess is that the test at VIE will be paid for either by the airport or the Austrian government. I doubt passenger would be paying it themselves. As already noted above, the schedule was adjusted for the summer season just at the beginning of December - with effect from 29.3.20, CA985/CA986 will be operated by 747-8I on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sun only.

It seems your information is out of date.
OS flies to NRT which is 5,702 mi. OS also flies to LAX which is 6,137 mi.
I cannot judge the former but the latter cannot be done with A333 in my view.
