Assume 797 is basically a narrow-body version of the 787 (to replace 757s)
My guess is that Boeing will probably try to milk as much as they can from 737 747(if possible) 777 787 and 797 lines for the forseeable future.

It does seem like Boeing has some degree of planned obsolescence with its airframe types, and is now dependent on two or three types of airliner.
707s get replaced by 757s.
757s and 727s get replaced by 737s
747s get replaced by 777s.
767s and 777-200s get replaced by 787s.

Seems to me unless it's an already established airport, any "new" airport in the Los Angeles area is destined to fail. The UAX/OO experiment with PMD comes to mind.

I would think a large C-Series would make a good replacement for the A319, but my guess is that those will probably go to UAX too.

A narrowbody version of the 787 would be more logical at this point. Just as the 757 and 767 had a parallel development, so should the 787 have a narrowbody counterpart.
