Re: Mesa E175 incident in ATL?

It was explained that it was hit by a baggage tug 3 weeks ago, employee was texting and driving. Damage was more extensive than expected (fuel and hydraulic lines) and was bought by DL's insurance company. Both engines currently removed. Sounds like a write-off. This info is from an ATL airport man...

Re: Passenger takes video of JFK bag smasher

A ramp agent generally have two choices: Do it by the book and delay the aircraft, or do it as quickly as possible and break your back and passenger luggage. The problem is the environment in which they work, where airlines on one hand discourage passengers from checking in luggage, thereby creatin...

Smisik had to go after allowing the money losing bribe of the 'charman's flight' for the board chairman of the Port Authority of NY and NJ to get favorable treatment at EWR including a new hanger. Any smart person would use Eagle as a stepping stone to American or any other major airline. I took a job with Signature Flight Support, to get to know people at Sun Country in MSP. I worked for SY for many years. If you want to work for American, the worst thing you can do is to start by working f...

Re: United replacing employee bonuses with new program

To be fair, a 50 percent tax rate, while theoretically possible, is not close to what most employees would pay on a $100,000 bonus, especially if they live in a relatively low-tax state (or Texas, where employees will pay only federal income taxes on it). You can look online and calculate it. https...

But what do they do about misconnect or bumped bags in a case like this? Expedited bags don't ride with their passenger. In the US, the procedure for those kind of bags are considered "RUSH" or Expedited Bags. These bags are only loaded when the passenger for example, already completed the...

No surprise here. It figures that Samson would take the weight (pun intended) for Gov. Christie.
