Bathroom and toilet cleanliness is one of the most important factors for me. LCCs in the UK and some UK charter airlines loos are not as clean as they should be, perhaps due to high loads and utilisation.
Icelandairs cabins and toilets and always clean.
This one just made me feel so uncomfortable. The AC was a 321 and he was sat at the amidship exit and I was in the row smack facing him and he just kept staring at me and I smiled and he just kept staring and looking at me like I was an marshan. One Spanish spea...Jump to post
Just done a flight with Monarch and the cabin crew were real friendly except for one steward, we had both sectors. He kept giving filthy looks and after one passenger asked him to look at some vapour on the wing, I overheard this and asked him if anything was wrong to which he said sharply, nothing ...Jump to post

I think it was dark blue with Air UK leisure headrests and smoking in the back cabin!Jump to post
Just to add. UKL or LEI as they became flew mostly for Unijet holidays their sister tour operating company.Jump to post
They did in between using them on charters, your right , before the 734s came on lineJump to post
I prefered the Air UK Leisure brand and never flew Leisure International, which was the name adopted to short haul once the 320s moved in and replaced the already new 734s!Jump to post
Not sure about that, but maybe the better , bigger meal service, extra touches, hot towels, sweets etc andf that holiday atmosphere helped a lot in taking your mind off the tight seating, now we just have the tight seating but none of the extras.Jump to post
Good man, sounds like we were seperated at birth, good memories back then Ba737 eh? Charter airlines were great back then and so many to choose from now we like have two or three in the whole Uk charter sector, sad, very sad.Jump to post
Oh yes. specifically Air UK Leisure on a 737-400 which was very new aircraft in those days. Good quality aircraft like and service which any charter airline of today would choke if they had to give you what UKL gave us 20 years ago!!!Jump to post
STL is not a fairly small US City. Is it true that there are no scheduled widebodies? Noe even a lone 767 service? I now know what people mean when they say AA totally tried to destroy the <acronym title="St. Louis - Lambert-St. Louis International ...Jump to post
I cant believe STL no longer sees a wide body?? Is this true???? After all those 767s and 747s at STL</acronym...Jump to post
My favourites are the old Uk chareter 732s, BY of course, flogging them to death till in the 90s even putting on IFE on them and AE, DA and my b...Jump to post
i travelled with Thomson A La Carte which is very much an expensive operator on short haul. I liked most holiday reps and I thought they fulfilled a role, assisting holidaymakers, particularly elderly ones who enjoyed a chat or might need help with everything from where the nearest chemist is to how...Jump to post
