Both N392UP and N830WE were seen in TLV outside the hangar complete with green SCD doing high power engine run ups this week. Test flights should begin in a few weeks if all goes according to plan.

US/AA's problem with the TLV flights was the wrong equipment. Flights were full all the time (also up front- and fares were not cheap either), but the A330-200 just couldn't take any cargo from TLV most of the time which killed the route.

N354AA is basically almost done, saw it a few days ago being pushed back from the hangar into the engine run up bay, looks pretty sweet in that old AA livery and green side cargo door.

Until Malaysia or Indonesia recognize Israel and enable aircraft flying to/from Israel over their airspace, it just wouldn't happen. Any other route would add a number of hours that would make such a flight nonviable. It’ll be very interesting to see when the financial benefits of allowing airspace...

Effective December 1st, BA will upgrade the red eye BA163/2 LHR-TLV-LHR from Boeing 787-8 to Airbus A350-1000 with the following schedule:

BA163 LHR 2055-0340+1 TLV D
BA162 TLV 0615-0940 LHR D

Flights loaded into reservation systems already.

Right engine losing and continuing to lose oil quantity. Didn't declare an emergency, but turned around and returned to ILN.

They down gauged it even more - it's an A330-300 now IIRC. TLV-NYC has way too much capacity these days. So not surprising that LY would want to operate less seats on this route. DL A333s have more seats than the B77E did pre-refitting. As for LY, a B78X with about 340 seats in J-W-Y+-Y would make ...

Crew most definitely would not do there and back. LHR-TLV would be about 4h 45m, so the return flight can certainly be operated by the same crew.
