Re: Detroit Air Service Discussion Thread - 2019

I usually don't post in this thread, and I don't think DL is going to de-hub Detroit anytime soon (unless some unforeseen event in the future happens where airlines are almost bankrupt again), but I will say I flew CAK-DTW-NGO 2 times a year up until they cancelled the DTW-CAK route. While I know it...

Re: Should airlines ditch AVODs for inflight internet?

There will be no right answer on this subject as everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But long haul should absolutely keep the AVOD, and I personally always look at booking Delta first for short haul if my aircraft with have AVOD as I prefer to put my phone down for a bit and enjoy the bigger ...

I remember when I volunteered at the airport back in 09 they had a big display of the master plan that showed a sky tram taking people out to concourse B. I agree with this. As someone now in the midwest I will connect in the winter at DTW ANY DAY over ORD! Overall a better and smoother winter op than I've found at ORD. Anyways congrats DTW, so sad Delta is dropping the direct flight from my town to DTW. :(

AA doesn't really need new hubs. It has great hubs. The only place it would need a new hub is in pnw or Rocky mountain region. Also, it doesn't have as much money as Delta to be starting new focus cities or hubs. Delta is really in a pretty unique position. It has 3 of the most profitable hubs in t...
