https://www.donga.com/news/article/all/20240213/123494924/1 According to this article, there was indeed a rumor involving Air Baltic. Despite that Donga is a major company, this article seems less reliable/believable (to me), so I wouldn't read too much from it. For instance, it says KE is planning ...

Re: Asiana 747-400 schedule and retirement date?

http://www.kukinews.com/newsView/kuk202311200288 (in Korean) It was confirmed late last year that the sole 747 pax will retire in March. This aligns with the (soft) 25-year rule for passenger fleet imposed by the government, and also what Asiana has practiced for a while. The sole 767 has also reach...

A few years ago, Asiana began to remove anything older than 25 y.o. (passenger fleet) due to government pressure, and with that, 767 and 747 retired one by one, leaving one each. These two were manufactured in 1998, so it may retire either this year (or at most next year). The sole A320 is due to le...

In Sep or Oct, B6 is to operate 24-25 flights ex-LAX. After adding 7 destinations, the number is going only up to 32 per day, which means most will see only one flight per day. That doesn't sound competitive unless frequencies on the existing routes are cut.
