I'm not an aerospace engineer, but possibly the long-range, high cruise speed and high altitude Gulfstream business jets are not the ideal base for a lightweight regional jet. They would probably have to start from scratch.
On the other hand, Canadair did it with the Challenger.

Update: now it seems to be back all ok! All the photos are visible. Good to hear! :) I still have this problem, but I can narrow it down to those cases where the Image is in a certain category, e.g. airport overview. I have the same body/lens combo for about a year now and have been very happy with it, the Mk 2 lens was in my case a huge improvement over my 15 year old Mk 1 version.
The 7D unfortunately tends to be on the noisy side - today I received my 7D Mk 2 which seems to be a bit better in that regard.
