Re: Australian Aviation - April 2024

Of the 3 aircraft from SIN that are approaching LHR right now, QF209 took the most circuitous route, with a very zig zagy flight path over Central Asia that seems to be avoiding Pakistan and Afghanistan. The BA flight went straight through the middle of Afghanistan but otherwise generally is taking ...

They've been using Nauru (usually the -800) to cover one line of OOL-based flying since the Canadians went home at the start of March. The other OOL-line is u...

One stroke of luck is this happened on the short hop SYD-AKL. The AKL-SCL leg must fly close to Antarctica, a long way from anywhere. I live south of MEL and when I woke up at 5am for work this morning I could hear a jet flying over. Thought it a bit odd as it was too early for domestic ops to have...

I’m not sure when it was made the standard but I believe it was by 2004. From 2002 - 4 there seems to be a bit of an ambiguous transition with some MSNs having EIS1 CRTs and the new ISIS standby and some others having EIS2 LCDs and the original analog standbys.
