Re: B737MAX Grounded Worldwide

So, there is one MAX sim in the USA, and all training has been done on an ipad? Maybe it’s more about luck than pilot skill. And to say that all pilots in the US are superior to any pilot overseas is definately underestimating the skill of foreign pilots.

Why can't we accept that training for the most part in no western countries isn't at the same level as it is in the western countries. We heard Columbian ATC talking in Spanish that nearly cause an LH A340 to collide with another aircraft because procedures were not followed and no one addressed it...

Re: B737MAX Grounded Worldwide

Absolutely, yet people still beat the same drum and get upset when you bring human error into discussion. I think there are more haters than actual enthusiast on this site. Because some are blaming the crash on them, when the root cause probably lies in the plane itself. If the plane had worked as ...

We have to dumb-down aircraft handling because it's simply infeasible to skill-up every pilot to an extreme level. Even the military can't achieve that. Re: Ethiopian Airlines 737MAX crashes enroute to Nairobi

We don’t have a reason for Ethiopian. But lion air has had a lot of bad situations. It’s a bad airline. Ethiopian also crashed an NG during this decade. A crash 10 years ago is relevant here? Both cases involvs brand new planes, not 20y old frames. Brand new planes shouldn’t hit the ground for a so...

What worries me is all those who keep saying ”a pilot not knowing about this issue has been in a cave for 4 months”, ”it’s a training issue”, ”it’s because the F/o had 200 hours” etc. A plane should not fly itself into the ground, switch flicked off or not. Re: B737MAX Grounded Worldwide

That's not what I meant. What I want to know is how hard is it for a pilot to realise your plane is heading to the ground because of MCAS malfunction (if that were the case). It's exactly the opposite, shouldn't it be easier to see the error? also, can the system be deactivated? I am no pilot, I am...

Re: Ethiopian Airlines 737MAX crashes enroute to Nairobi

ET had a crash related to pilot error 9 years ago, and that is a reason it is unsafe? By that standard very few airlines, and no region is safe to fly. ET has had four bigger crashes in 50 years of operation, one a birdstrike, and one was crashed by hi-jackers. Now that is pretty good for an airline...
