Re: Boeing 737MAX Grounded Worldwide Q2 2019

It is amazing how many still try to blame the pilots after all the info we have. How many saying that American pilots would never have the same problem. Well, guess what, the American pilots Union is fed up with the blaming of the pilots. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2019/may/23/boeing-737-m...

Re: Boeing 737MAX Grounded Worldwide Q2 2019

Most of us know that MCAS was a disaster and that Boeing's actions with that system were a mess. But thatt doesn't also change the fact that the crew didn't follow procedures. The Lion Air crew had no knowledge and procedure for unwanted MCAS activation. The system had been kept unknown to them. Re...

Re: Boeing' s Trouble: Claims of Shoddy Production Draw Scrutiny to a Second Boeing Jet

I just read the article. It is unsettling to say the least. There is a link in the article asking anyone knowing of safety violations to confidentiality report them to The NY Times. Unsettling, but is there evidence that the issues are different from the Washington plants or any Airbus FAL? There’s...

Re: Should airline regulators consider grounding B737 MAX series

I think it is the first time in the history of aviation that an airplane is being grounded by social media. Well, it is the age of social media so it is only natural. Businesses rely on PR, elections are won meddling with them, reputations torn and lies widespread. So it is understandable that comp...

Re: Ethiopian Airlines 737MAX crashes enroute to Nairobi

So you want someone flying your plane who doesn't understand the systems inside and out? Was it Boeing's fault when it was discovered that hundreds of pilots in developing nations had forged their certificates? I never want to see "So easy a child could fly it" in Boeing's marketing mater...

Re: Ethiopian Airlines 737MAX crashes enroute to Nairobi

My organization (charity) has over 12000 staff around the globe, we take that particular route very often, we have offices in Addis and Nairobi and have luckily not lost anyone though many flew these past days (I will fly it in tw oweeks), but we lost colleagues from the UN and other bodies closely ...
