I have an upcoming trip where I need to get to HKG to PEK to reposition for a flight. I was well aware of the HSR being launched and decided against it because well, it's not really high speed. It takes about 9 hours to get with the trains launching in September and there's only one departure from H...Jump to post
Its a Pity, because I would have changed the Market to Spain forever .... weird enough Turkish just announced Cargo flights to México ... Some things do not add up, but It´s México so anything can happen for no reason at all. Best Regards TRB Of course. Being able to have a great flight experience ...Jump to post
I proposed to my now wife in the cockpit of an A330 in flight after speaking to the crew (I fly for the same airline). By these standards their license would've been chopped up then, jesus.Jump to post
Safe during the morning/early afternoon in Costa Rica at SJO around the airport perimeter fence, definitely not at night. There used to be a good restaurant that had a spotting platform but that's gone now and the land is empty at the moment, but I haven't driven by lately to see if they've started ...Jump to post
Aw chucks, good for Belize. Was hoping to see SJO on the list.Jump to post
Does anyone know about an airline restarting the route between San Jose ( SYQ ) and Bocas del Toro ( BOC ), thanks. Geoff Don't think you'll see it soon. SYQ only has one airline which is Aerobell Airlines which recently started scheduled operations, SANSA does not serve it or see them serving it s...Jump to post
Good lord, some of you guys are assholes. And over something that might be completely overstated. The only two sources reporting on this are Daily Mail and Fox, both of which are infamous for exaggerating their stories. We don't have all of the details here. Actually, that' s wrong. Its being repor...Jump to post
Nice TR. Very few of flights intra-south america. BTW, when you say the plane used it's own power for push back, you mean it used reverse's?Jump to post
Don't break a sweat, it happens, sometimes someone in the background does it out of straight up goodwill. United upgraded me from a lonely no status to MileagePlus Gold (two jumps) out of no where, and I didn't realize it until my next flight when I was moved to business. I ended up finding out man...Jump to post

Well, it does include: Onboard “Fly Away Kit” which contains spare replacement for every AOG item contained safely in two LD3 containers. Two spare engines. Spare Auxiliary Power Unit. Two spare nose wheels and two spare main wheels contained in third LD3 container. A full list of spare parts is ava...Jump to post
Volaris Costa Rica outlines the suspension of Q6 GDL-SJO 3x weekly. Effective: September 01st. GUA-GDL will also be suspended. Juanchito Wonder what they will replace with or add frequencies with? I flew this route on the way to LAX, and it wasn't super exciting considering for a few bucks more you...Jump to post
GUA was closed in June after one of the nearby volcanoes (Fuego, I think) spewed ash all over the airport surface. I think it was shut down for three or four days before flights resumed. Yes. I was one of the unfortunate parties in this. I was visiting the air club there and had left my 182 parked ...Jump to post

I just checked the pricing for next week and it's actually quite ok. 301 quid for a non stop LHR-PER is all good on my books. I've done 14 hours in a A340 and it was okay, you kinda go nuts in the last 2 hours but it's not that bad.
16 hours in a 789 without a dry sinus? Sure.
Are you one of those that keep repeating "nothing has happened" for three hours as they rock their body back and forth? If you think business people and mass-scale tourists will connect in BEY for the 'right product', you're really deluded. Unless the product includes a bulletproof vest o...Jump to post
This is one of those threads that no matter what you say, the OP and the BEY supporters will continue to say it's safe as hell, it's awesome, we're doing great. Everyone loves BEY, Mexico sucks. I've been to both about 6 times in the last year. Let's face it. People will prefer places like Jordan an...Jump to post
Their legal name is Dreamjet.
Likely a charter.
The guy says this happened @Hollywood beach, which would've required FAA/Airport notification as it's right at the end of FLL. So, unless he was flying below 400 feet, then he's at fault there. I assume the helicopter was doing some type of shore line transition through FLL.Jump to post
Most UA flights I've taken from EWR to the UK have a relief pilot, I think about a dozen times it's been a training pilot from what I've discussed with the crew. I think they're actually rather important specially towards the end of the flight when the crew might be tired. Sure, 6 hours isn't that ...Jump to post

Yikes. This is scary. Imagine you sleeping in your home next door and boom, jet crashes next door. Worst part was that the kid in the marriage, actually said that his dad was a great guy (step dad actually), and he loved him. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/sea-tac-officials-airlines-to-meet-monday-to-discuss-security-protocols-after-turboprop-heist/ A good and accurate summary of the flight and roles of the two fighter jets, and as well early discussions of airport security. Spirit is not operating anymore the red-eye flight into NK SJO-FLL 14x weekly. NK keeps their current weekly frequencies. NK 335.....FLL 19.00......19.57 SJO NK 338.....SJO 06:00.....10:57 FLL Starting when? They're no longer serving the red-eye, yes, but they're not having an aircraft RON per thei...Jump to post
Do you think that MAYBE the FA did say but which a jokish tone? Like, trying to scold but with a smile/laughing at the same time? I can actually see someone fond of messing around with kids saying this to get them to pipe down.
I could see an F/A saying this, MINUS, the bloody part.
Why would AV and CMP want to be together in one JV? They practically compete against each other in a bunch of markets. Seems strange.Jump to post
I've done 5 so far from the US down to Central America, from a Cherokee Warrior and 206 to Navajo Panthers. It's very long specially from northern US and crossing Mexico is really tiring cause there's nothing to see. I've never had any issues myself and always have another pilot with me but I've hea...Jump to post
I might be naive but I doubt they were actually trying to put the jet flying into the tower. I think they just copied and pasted the jet after cutting it out. Bad taste, but honestly cannot see them being dumb enough to actually put it there on purpose that it was going to fly into it.Jump to post
Not trying to defend this crew if they actually made a mistake, but have you seen NOTAMs these days? 3 out of 4 times I look at them, it is several pages of useless information, such as building cranes erected within 5 kilometers of the airport but nowhere near the approach path. They just aren't c...Jump to post
So did Panama, but at some point they realized they needed more pilots than they could grow in house. It shouldn't be completely NOT allowed but priority given to Colombia pilots and then foreign pilots. It's an old law, which might not be too difficult to change once the initiative is taken up (if...Jump to post
