Apparently someone was killed on Runway 17R - possibly being hit by a Southwest jet on its landing rollout. Aircraft was N401WN operating WN1392 from DAL. https://www.kvue.com/article/news/local/austin-airport-plane-runway-death/269-6efa66e7-bbf2-4fa7-9131-01058f61f532 https://cbsaustin.com/news/lo...Jump to post
I did find it interesting they added extra flights from some spokes to STL (ICT/DSM) for part of it. 3 instead of 2 a day in May. I guess they must be focusing some routes on certain places to connect. Maybe makes it easier to cancel flights later? If you only have 1 a day and passengers routed thr...Jump to post
Jon Ostrower is reporting that WN is looking at the A220. At least kicking its tires from a euro operator:

Not sure what Smartwings is up to. Their DXB-PRG MAX8 is circling near Istanbul at 34.000 ft and their SID-PRG MAX8 circling near Malta at 37.000ft, so apparently not about to land at those airports https://flightaware.com/live/flight/TVS1201 I was just about to ask the same thing. The A/C were rep...Jump to post

Is there any data sharing that goes on with the black box information? Or is it just held in one country? It seems we would want multiple authorities to look at the data from both crashes, since we really just have speculation at this point in both of these crashes. Also, it seems the airspeed indic...Jump to post
If the previous flight had issues on take off, should that flight not have diverted back to original airport vs. continuing on in flight?Jump to post
If you look at the tweet, the emoji appears to be a laugh. It is very likely they were just joking around. Leave it to people to get over excited.
I will say, they could have added but maybe we can give you a treat on board and give them an upgraded meal or something.
I disagree about any cities that would use ATL to connect to Europe as there are already many one stop connections over that hub that one can make and makes a Nonstop to Europe kind of pointless. Don't know why any of you fail to mention MKE as it had a very large NW presence for years and most fli...Jump to post
honestly .... this is a money grab for the airlines and Delta. Amazing they are sending a 747 and getting the publicity for it. But Delta knows they are selling tickets for people wanting to get out of florida. They will make a killing off this. What's with these bash DL posts in this and the SJU t...Jump to post
Besides the fact if DL wasn't confident in the flight and something would have happened to the aircraft during take off, it would be a larger PR blunder than UA's dragged off the flight mess. No it wasn't stupid. I'm sure the 100+ passengers were very thankful they did this. Also, who says a 739 is ...Jump to post

It seems that the Dr.'s past doesn't matter much in the public view (I'm not saying it should matter in this case) because FB comments seem to feel the Dr.'s past was brought out by UA as cover.Jump to post
I wonder who released the name of the passenger. I'm guessing because of his past, he didn't volunteer it. Must have leaked somehow.Jump to post

Of course, now there is smearing going on and there are reports that this doctor has had issues in past and has had his license revoked. Doesn't change what happened though. I think another issue with UA's statement is that they are going to work with authorities first, then conduct their own review.Jump to post
Air Canada offers connecting flights to Toronto for international service! Beats flying into O'Hare and dealing with long security lines with US pre-clearance! Yes, done that, is convenient. I'm maybe a little surprised DL hasn't added any longer routes. NW used to fly mainline to PHX, LAX, etc. DL...Jump to post

Erdogan deciding if it is safe to go to IST? https://www.flightradar24.com/THY8456/a5a3952 How much cheapee was that ticket over LH or DL, ten Dollars or twenty Euros?
