RE: Why Does A FedEX 777 Keep Circling My House?

Just to let everybody know... He moved off north and circled some more, then suddenly broke to the south, where I watched him from one of my fields with my binoculars as he flew directly over at about 10K feet. And sure enough, when I got back to the house - there was my package, right on the front ...

RE: Why Does A FedEX 777 Keep Circling My House?

As a matter of fact, I am expecting a package. And they do have a hard time finding my ranch. Maybe I'll go back outside and flag 'em down.

Ah yes. We have lots of chemical spraying around here. But's it's usually done from crop-top level and not FL400.

Why Does A FedEX 777 Keep Circling My House?

I've noticed some strange contrails in North Central Arkansas today, and flight aware shows it to be a FedEx 777, headed to nowhere in particular. Same thing happened yesterday. http://flightaware.c...

Is That The Parking Brake?

Not the big one, the little one to the left of the center console. It looks like a parking brake to me.

RE: Why Are AF Planes So Filthy?

I was wondering if it might have something to do with destinations. Some places seem to be a lot dirtier than others. I remember being shocked at a photo of Air Force One looking grimy, something I'd never seen before; it was then I learned about the air pollution situation in Beijing. Does <acronym...

RE: Old Delta Billboard

My one enviable airline flight was on a Delta 747 from Atlanta to Dallas to LA. Dad liked to do a big vacation every other year with some business associates, and this time he took me and granddad too. Since we were a group of six flying first class we got the pe...

RE: Which Aircraft Suppresses Turbulence The Most?

Wouldn't we expect wing flex to play a role in the feel of the turbulence? I would think a stiffer wing would make the bumps feel sharper and a flexible wing would feel bouncier. It's true in gliders I've flown, where we actually seek out the bumps.

RE: 1965 B-737-100 Marketing Brochure

I remember on my first airline flight ever, a Delta DC-9 from ATL to BHM in 196...
