Just the other day they extended the leases for Air Belgium's A340s. So they'll have the 777s in addition to the A340s? It will be interesting to see whether or not these planes get repainted in the LO livery. Yes, Air Belgium stays until Oct 2020. The 777s are slated to be painted into LOT livery....Jump to post
Don't think this has been mentioned here, but interesting to note that the BUD-ICN (both outbound and return legs) are flown along a southern route, i.e. completely avoiding Russian airspace. This means a scheduled flight time of 12h45m on the return leg, whereas other flights following a similar r...Jump to post
Wasn't this covered earlier in another thread??....the YYZ news one I think.
And I highly doubt that the 789 can make the trip westbound direct without serious weight restrictions.
If this route goes through...it'll probably have a tech stop somewhere. Just a guess.
They got this frame about 3 weeks ago; it's flying around in Blue Air livery and airline won't repaint into LOT livery... Time and money consuming.
That's a lease from Boeing Lease Capital or whatever they're called as a small bit of help for the max groundings.
Guys, do you have any data on LOT's load factors, across their overall network and the European one? It seems they don't publish any usefull traffic statistics. According to one article I found the overall load factor was 78% in 2017 with the most profitable routes being Tokyo 80% and Seoul 85%. An...Jump to post
Where will they get the plane for the Daixing flights? Are they getting some more delivered? In September they take delivery of one more 789, but that one was already taken into account, when planning the winter season (in particular on 11th Sept they start New Dehli route 5x weekly). Further deliv...Jump to post
Should they just wait for all the airspace bans to be lifted first? They are hemmoraging money for Delhi to EU/NA flights....but I guess they don't care as long as big daddy is paying. Why the negativity? How much of an impact does the airspace ban have on them other than the stop in VIE on some No...Jump to post
Ah good to hear! The broken propping up the broken LOL Its quite scandalous how a brand new plane, straight out of the factory can go tech after just one single flight, what the hell is wrong with Boeing... Normal actually. I can know 3 787s from LO that went tech enroute on their delivery flights ...Jump to post
On a separate note SP-LSF the 6th 787-9 and 14th Dreamliner overall has just been delivered to LOT and immediately flew to Toronto on a revenue flight but went tech for some reason. LOT has one more 787-9 left on order that will join the fleet this year, hopefully now with nearly all 787s delivered...Jump to post
AKL-YYZ by NZ is what will make YYZ closer to becoming a 2nd mega hub airport in North America after JFK as it will cover an oceania route. It's exciting that they're considering this route after the NZ and AC future JV. Those 789s are premium heavy; and making the trips (specially westbound) would...Jump to post
And SP-LRF will be delivered at the beginning of June with I can only imagine first flight to Toronto. SP-LRG will be the first airplane made in Charleston for LOT with delivery around end of October. Hopefully Boeing will have their **ap put together in Charleston by then. I think you mean LSF/LSG...Jump to post
They want to make sure you actually get on the plane after going through preclearance. ... and that when you do, you haven't accidentally thrown your passport in the trash with the remains of Tim Horton's. Is it obligatory to go to Tim Horton's? No, at T3, the usa departures section doesn't even ha...Jump to post

So I just found this. It's a bit old by now (January 2019) but still interesting LOT Cargo tables ambitious growth targets in a nutshell: LOT is considering ordering a few A350s, and LOT Cargo will become a proper airline operating at least 2 planes in 5 years Thoughts? Definitely agree with the ne...Jump to post
Haha I kind of feel the same. TG were definitely planning it, I saw an old article recently. I'd imagine UA could make a 767 work a few times a week from EWR or ORD, since those are both their hubs, and both UA and LO are star alliance. However I doubt it, seeing as AC is downgrading their summer s...Jump to post

I would much rather see LO get rid of this type instead of repainting. I like them, they serve a purpose. Whilst the ATRs might be a better CASM option, the Q400s are jet fast and make routes like WAW-LUZ viable. It's actually quicker than the bus or train! They do look nice in the new livery too.....Jump to post
I'll go a different direction and guess Eastern Europe....
EWR/IAD-WAW. My guess. Would be nice seeing UA do it.
67 people were fired today for taking part in the “illegal” strike. Those who kept working were given a bonus. Good. Reward the good, eliminate the bad. That's how it should be. Yes, exactly, eliminate the bad management. Root of the problem is the CEO, that's who needs to go. Constantly depriving ...Jump to post
I wonder if the 737 has a belly logo?? Grey belly to make a belly logo stand out more perhaps? Anyone? By the way....about FI's 737max. 2 quick questions open to the floor:
When is Primera Air getting their first A321neo?
Is there a docs spreadsheet somewhere for A320neo or A320 fam list in general?

Very nice indeed!!! I didn't know TP would be getting the A330-300. Where are these two A330-300's coming from? Are the actual second hand aircraft or brand new aircraft that were never taken up just like the first Iran Air A330-200? Which routes will these A330-300's be flying? I'm not sure if we're allowed to post links to youtube videos here, but i did find a short video of the unveiling of the new livery in Toronto YYZ.

As the saying goes with us younger people....Haters gonna hate. When a new livery of an airline comes around , everyone hates it. sooner or later, you'll get used to and like it. Similar reactions happened with Finnair, AA, LOT etc. I attended the YYZ and it was amazing in person. They mixed retro e...Jump to post
Hainan's latest 787-9 wears a special livery: 4185065 It's a CHS frame and there are hardly any photos from there. Hello everyone, I have some questions about Cubana Airlines: 1) Before the US and Cuba had normalized relations, I assume Cubana Airlines was not allowed to fly over the USA. A couple years ago, CDG-YUL was one of their first A380 routes. Is the 789 in addition to another aircraft rotation? Seems that would be a lot of capacity reduction in a once very busy route. Would love to see them open up CDG-DEN with a 789 for summer seasonal. The A380 CDG-YUL flight has been wit...Jump to post
