And I highly doubt that the 789 can make the trip westbound direct without serious weight restrictions.
If this route goes through...it'll probably have a tech stop somewhere. Just a guess.

They got this frame about 3 weeks ago; it's flying around in Blue Air livery and airline won't repaint into LOT livery... Time and money consuming.
That's a lease from Boeing Lease Capital or whatever they're called as a small bit of help for the max groundings.

On a separate note SP-LSF the 6th 787-9 and 14th Dreamliner overall has just been delivered to LOT and immediately flew to Toronto on a revenue flight but went tech for some reason. LOT has one more 787-9 left on order that will join the fleet this year, hopefully now with nearly all 787s delivered...

And SP-LRF will be delivered at the beginning of June with I can only imagine first flight to Toronto. SP-LRG will be the first airplane made in Charleston for LOT with delivery around end of October. Hopefully Boeing will have their **ap put together in Charleston by then. I was told Duty Free Store.

There was a ground stop for arrivals into the terminal. Dozen + aircraft waited (some up to 1.5hrs) at taxiways and deicing pads before being let park at gates.

I would much rather see LO get rid of this type instead of repainting. I like them, they serve a purpose. Whilst the ATRs might be a better CASM option, the Q400s are jet fast and make routes like WAW-LUZ viable. It's actually quicker than the bus or train! They do look nice in the new livery too.....

Yea, MAD and ORY are the Cubana IL96 destinations. Been meaning to fly on them since I was a young teenage avspotter. Not sure about those IL96s going away though....don't they have IL96-400s due to come to them?
