Re: Low contrast and underexposed

Andrew, exposure looks ok, but I would give it a bit more contrast. Those old AC schemes are looking faded with age and they look a little flat sometimes.

Re: Harbour Air poised to start worlds first all electric fleet

Yeah converting a Beaver designed in 1947 with a Pratt R-985 to electricity should be a cinch. Balancing the damned might be challenging enough. GF As a fan of the DHC-2 Beaver I don't think it is the right aircraft to be converted to electric. Best to introduce a new design made of modern composit...

Actually, it looks blurry and soft. It might help if you were not using that slow a shutter speed. Even at 1/400 and with that 3 blade prop you would get nice blur on the prop. Hope this helps

Re: Photographing 737-200s in Quebec/Ontario, Canada

Hi Karl, You will not likely find any 732's operating in Western Canada. Air North and Canadian North now using the 733's only from what I know. I see the odd 732's from the US coming into Kelowna for major inspections, but its unpredictable as to when they will be there. Nolinor and Air Inuit are s...

RE: Getting A Radio Scanner - Advice?

I like the Uniden Bearcat BC125AT scanner. Good audio output, and battery life quite good. I use lithium AA cells and they last a long time. I added a 90 degree BNC coax adaptor on the antenna jack and then connect the antenna and it will sit flat a...

RE: Post-screen. Need Help With A Rejection.

Andrew, the aircraft is too high in the frame. The tail must be considered as well when centering the aircraft. The image is also over sharpened. Jaggies can easily be seen in the gap between the ailerons and flaps. A little less sharpening and lowering of the aircraft in the frame will result in an...

RE: Dust Spots

If a screener sees a dust spot anywhere on the image, very likely it will be rejected. Certain circumstances such as rarity or unique situations may be enough to gain acceptance, and probably the decision would be left with the head screeners.

RE: Dust Spots

Mohammed, you might try processing some images and then check to see if dust spots are visible. It might help to locate any that are difficult to see by equalizing the image. If dust spots are present, they definitely will show up on the equalized image. You can then clone any that you see from the ...

Jaggies seen on the leading edges of the wing and also the tail surfaces. Wheels look a little oversharpened as well. This is fixable, just use a bit less sharpening.
