A Milky Way as a desert is so bad. I am sure the meals are better on the Japanese carriers. however it's already a biblical miracle that United serve a meal at all on a relatively short flight. But they have to due to the competition.
Jump to postWow!! A sandwich on a 30 minute flight. Impressive.
Jump to postVideo Only: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3hLgGgS-KM We flew on an American Airlines Boeing 737-800 to St. Maarten from Miami. The flight takes about 2 1/2 hours. It was full. Jump to postA year ago someone got killed by a shark on the famous beach where the large hotel is located. Service in economy looks good. In Europe on a short flight you now often get water and a tiny chocolate and the US some junk food / crisps / biscuits.
Jump to postI flew Tarom 10 years ago from London; the price of a one way ticket was one third that of British Airways. The toilet seat was so old it was actually yellow. The crew were like robots. In fact 2 were not the plane when we boarded as they were in the duty free shop. However we actually received a sm...

Jump to postI flew on Frontier 30 years ago from Denver to Los Angeles. In those days they served a bagel with cream cheese. It was a pleasant flight. It's completely changed now. I liked the different animals on the tail.
Jump to postYes we liked the Puglia area a lot. It is unique / beautiful, I highly recommend it. Bari is very nice. You should try to stay in a Masseria / farm house. We stayed at Masseria Torre Coccaro. They also have a nice beach club and the food was great. They also have a large pool. We visited Lecce, Mate...

Jump to postFood looks great.
In SWISS economy all they give now is water and that little piece of chocolate. I paid 300 Euros for a 1 hour flight one way compared to half that fare others charge for similar distances.
Of course everything costs double in Switzerland like a 9 Euro cup of coffee.
To Shannon all we got was an Irish shortbread biscuit. They call it Premium Service. It really is like Business except that the meal is not served on a fancy tray. They don't permit 30 kilos and I think one is not permitted to check in on the Business lines. Anyway the fare difference on our one way...

Jump to postIn June I flew Brussels Airlines from JFK to Brussels and the aircraft was a regular Brussels exterior and interior. However I noticed a Eurowing A330 in Brussels. I was scratching my head about this. Now you explained it.
Jump to postThe meal looks the same as in economy but good. Their cakes are good but they seem to have reduced the size by 50% since 10 years ago. Swiss did the same.
When I took my first TWA 747 flight in the late 60s' I was in shock having flown only on 707s and single aisle propeller planes.
The meal going is a disaster. They recently replaced the nice ice cream with these ghastly Milk biscuits / cookies. The people in charge of United catering really need their heads examined.
