Aside from street chargers most EV owners at this stage should be able to charge at home (or buying an EV is a questionable choice). So the mechanics of "getting range back" is fundamentally different, you get home, you plug the car. Every time.

The main cost is energy/propellant, if we can produce it from the Lunar surface then it changes everything. The LEM could have tanks big enough that you fill them on the Moon and everything can take off, not just the upper stage.

About pilots I saw a DailyMail video (yeah I know not great source) saying Russia started the war with less than 100 operational fighter pilots. That's why we saw old fat guys flying, they're calling on retired pilots. And poor skills overall. Soon there will be nobody left to train new pilots.
