I own 2 no name batteries for the 10D and 3 Canon originals.
The no names perform much better (longer shooting) at a fraction of the cost.
So I'd try a no name if I were you...
At a fraction of the cost the risk of not being happy is very small..

Jump to postBe advised that the 28-300L will not work with the listed extenders.
I'm not even sure whether it works with any converter at all !!!
Nice lens nevertheless...
If you want to shoot some long lens action I'd follow Tim's advice and buy a 100-400L. Great value for money!

Personally for some reason I like this shot. Perhaps you can try a potrait crop instead of a landscape crop to kill some of the dead space though?!

I use this lens as well and I am quite happy with it. I travel a lot and sometimes I have to pack my suitcase very selective. In that case this is the lens I will take with me. It produces very good results for the 50-300mm range. The 28-50mm range is good to go from F/7.1 I'd say. Sure, the 70-200L...

Jump to postI stopped shooting K64 back in 2003 already and switched to digital completely.
The prices just got rediculous and the process quality wasn't what it used to be anymore at that time......
This final cut by Kodak was to be expected some day I guess....
It happened later than I expected however.
I 1 or 2 times forgot to switch off the self timer after night shooting.
Very annoying when the first pic of the next day is a nice bird which you are very eager to nail.......

that's a nice nose shot! To further improve it I'd do 2 to 4 passes of USM with settings 200 0.3 0. Try to make a duplicate layer first so you can use the brushes to eliminate jaggies if any should apear locally. rgds, Jeroen
