Re: BA restarts Montego Bay from LGW

BA cut the route in 2013, after having restarted it in 2009, after an earlier route cut in 2002. BA's ambivalence here is partly hilarious and partly telling of the route's gravitas. More and more British tourists are flying into KIN & transitioning to Ocho Rios and other North Coast destination...

Re: Caribbean Aviation Thread - 2020

MBJ is leisure with some VFR. KIN is VFR and business. So if one wants to determine loyalty of Jamaicans to a particular carrier its best to look at KIN. The majority of travel into MBJ is that of non Jamaicans. AA runs 3 daily into KIN, all from MIA. B6 is running 5 daily from JFK and FLL, includi...

Re: Westbound over the Atlantic. Jamaican Thread #59

Welcome. Did not realize they have a late night service, but it makes sense to use the services of their FLL hub to transfer paxs. They have reduced their JFK-MBJ flights. Hmmm... seems about right. I just checked FlightMapper and it has B6 doing two services to JFK... with 480 being up-gauged to a...

Re: Westbound over the Atlantic. Jamaican Thread #59

Hey Guys, first time posting since making my account YEARS ago... anyway... I was just noticing something about the departure times out of MBJ. I'm seeing where JetBlue's early morning FLL service is occupying AA's old early morning MIA slot. JetBlue even has their A320 overnight in MBJ which is qui...
