At the end of the day it does not matter what colors are on the plane. BUT it still says SUN COUNTRY. Just think of all the airlines know longer flying...Braniff, North Central, Southern, Western...etc etc

I think it looks pretty decent. A step down from their old livery with the fancy light blue compass on the fuselage. Wait and see what happens after winter 2018/19, Easter is late next year April 21st. Winter flights will go until at lest then.

I think HNL will be back, plus added service to ANC for the summer.

They are getting 2 ex AM 737-800 sometime in Nov. They are to be the first to get the new "orange" colors. no word on when any of the others get the new paint. The 6 they picked up this year so far should be the last to get paint, I would think.

Flightaware has it flying right over the hurricane. A non aviation friend told me about it. I told him it was a glitch, as the FAA would never allow that flight path.

Dispatch moved over to the former XJ hanger sometime ago. SY has their hanger and using the XJ hanger. I think all the pilot flight ops is there. The HQ move would be sales, marketing, reservations and more room for ego stroking. They have grounds ops up above Term 2. They can see the whole ramp. fr...

Thanks for the link. This is the second building since 2002. The first was at 1300 Mendota Heights Road, before that they had one level building on Pilot Knob road M.H. before that there hanger on 494 and 26th. Minneapolis. .

As a one time SY employee, now retired I have a wait and see approach to them. The question is how much money will Apollo pump in before they drop kick Jude out of the crystal palace.?? It may take 2 or 3 more years to see things improve.

STC will be rebuilt, Its not a what if as much as when will it... Lots of room. BNSF has two rail lines south can used for commuter rail. Easy to build tracks right to terminal. Also STC is closer to Camp Ripley, which is used year round.. STC is just off of US 10 and north of I 94

As a former Republic Airlines employee, I would say No it was not a very nice place to work for. I left a year after the merger. Pay difference was the main reason. RC was way under what NWA was paying due do union contracts and pay cuts.

SY has 25 jets as of today with 2 more coming this fall, 2 or 3 from HV for winter. I don't think they have announced all the winter routes yet.
