IIRC it takes a month to bring a plane up to each airlines standards. SY 's 3 new took a month each at AAR @RFD

SY as of today, May 26th, has a fleet of 30 737's. 3 -700 are leaving this fall. 3 more -800 are coming this fall/winter. The million dollar question is how many they will lease from Transavia for winter 2019.20. They could end up with 35 737's this up coming winter.

If they choose to cut back on any one of these 3 airlines, could UPS/FedEx pick up slack to some degree??? How much could be shifted to the passenger airlines.?? Could foreign cargo companies pick up volume?? intra US ??

You need to go back even farther in time...North Central flew this back in the day with DC-3 then Convairs, before the DC-9's. NC/RC flew a lot of Convair 580's back in the day.

On the upside they must have more 737-800 coming to the fleet. I have not heard much other then the 3 joining the fleet this month & next. I'll have to hit up my SY friends to see what's coming.

Bottom line SY hired GAS, the company told SY they could hire enough people. GAS failed to do so. SY has dumped ATS, ASIG, and a couple of others because those companies can not find folks to do the job and do it right. Signature Flight Support was union. They could not find enough people. AFAIK They replaced every seat. In addition the removed the half the F/C galley and the F/C closet for added room. I still know some folks at SY.. The planes also went from 2 ovens in front and 4 in back to only 2 in the back. No more hot food on the entire plane its all BOB. The ovens are retained ...

800SY/802/803SY went back to ILFC because of the bankruptcy in 12/2001 N710SY & 711SY (737-700) also returned As of today SY is flying 30 737-700/800 including 3 -800 from Transavia...3 more 737-800 join the fleet in April. Some time this year the remaining -700 will leave the fleet
