Southeast England desperately needs another runway. If Heathrow is out, here's to hoping Gatwick gets a second runway.Jump to post

What are MS and GS?
Where will they interline? SIN, BKK or HKG are the ones I can think of. I guess what's remaining on those routes after you factor the coronavirus scare. Haven't they cancelled all HKG flights? Indigo also flies to Vietnam. Too bad there are still no direct flights between India and Manila/Jakarta. ...Jump to post
Some scoop regarding the AA service to BLR 1) BLR airport reps travelled to DL/AA/AC/UA HQ in January 2020 to discuss non stop flights to BLR. 2) All the airlines were interested to fly to BLR, but issue was aircraft range. 3) Abt 700,000 O&D pax travel btw BLR & US; ~40% travel with EK, EY...Jump to post
I see several persons support the environment of sanctions And all. O’bother. I assume they think their so called nationalistic and Dear Leader, leaders, will give them a utopia they crave. Yes Seattle is the only city that can do BLR direct with a 789. I asked jayunited on the UA thread and flying in the region so close to the Middle East scares some UA pilots in that the flight has EXTRA contigency fuel because they don't want to divert to Afghanistan or Iran. That's why SFO-DEL wor...Jump to post

I honestly dont know how this route is going to make money. SIN-PEN is dominated by the Low Cost Carriers ( Air Asia, Scoot and Silk Air). Given the fact the MI is soon to be absorbed into SQ and getting premium cabin products, flat beds in JCL and PTVs in EYCLY, is there really a need for 2 premiu...Jump to post
I notice that both flights arrive back in DXB just a couple hours apart. Basically both feed the same 8-10 am Euro/Middle East departures bank. Is there a reasoning behind this? In 2018, the top 10 markets feeding EK's TPE service were (rank wise): IST CAI BCN LIS MAD LHR VIE FCO PRG CMN So as you ...Jump to post
Well I wouldn’t say those countries are unexplored. But unlike Serbia, those countries require visas to enter. That’s why Indian tourism to Serbia is increasing. I've been to Serbia. I actually think it is a great place for Indians to visit if they do not have a EU visa. You get that European feel ...Jump to post
Indian arrivals to Serbia keep on growing and the other day I was at BEG and it was full of Indians mostly flying on Qatar or flydubai. I hope IndiGo considers BEG at least on a summer seasonal basis. Whole of Balkans is an untapped gold mine. Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo are all unexplored locations. C...Jump to post
Glad to see EK expanding again. Although OPO was recently added, the last add was EDI in late last year. Hopefully the India bilaterals will open up, and maybe China as well to see more expansion east of DXB. Why will India allow additional flights to DXB when Emirates is a transfer point for what ...Jump to post
Are they having fifth freedom finally? The press release is not that clear for me. It looks like passengers can fly between BCN and MEX only and not continue to DXB. Emirates’ Mexico City flight will be a linked service with Barcelona, meaning that customers can now travel between the two cities in...Jump to post
I think we will only see ATL, PHL, and DTW in the near future. But EK seems to be consolidating in the US, which is a shame. The recent down-gauging of EWR points to less expansion in the US. Places like PHX, RDU, CLT, and AUS are at least five or more years away.Jump to post
So WHY do the existing DEL flights NOT connect with the existing US bank of flights!? VS needs to re-time the DEL flights to connect so they can achieve higher load factors. Honestly this is getting annoying now. In every thread about Indian aviation there are always Indians based in the US clamour...Jump to post

Daily and 2x daily seasonal service
Would like to see an EK flight to PHL. I believe it is the biggest metropolitan area in the US without EK service.Jump to post
I think YVR is a major airport missing from AUS direct flight network, they offer the most flights to asia in north america! I agree, the route would be totally viable on an Air Canada RJ. Starting out with a CRJ705 or E175 like AUS-YYZ did. WestJet May even try to grab YVR a couple times weekly, I...Jump to post
I'm sure your aware but Bermuda is also a British Overseas Territory. Considering that Emirates started DXB to STN on the 08 June 2018 I wouldn't say that it ''took them so long'' to add a second daily flight! This must be one of the quickest additions on the Emirates network after all DXB to STN hasn't even been operating for a year and a second daily flight is adde...Jump to post
Doesn't that mean you can't fly nonstop into the US? I thought that was the reason why DL couldn't start NBO and PK had to have stops in MAN/DUB, etc I'm unsure of DL's history with NBO but KQ recently started nonstop flights between NBO and JFK so any security lapses at that airport must have been...Jump to post
Perhaps we could see EK. I know everyone thinks QR would be the first ME airline to the airport but QR and AA don’t get along so maybe EK will pounce. When you look at the biggest MSAs that EK doesn’t serve, CLT comes 11th, which is not ideal but makes it possible.Jump to post
They definitely want to serve more cities in India and China but so far the bilaterals have barely budged in years. Prime candidates would definitely be HEL, the Balkan nations, MEX, more Canada and more USA. Perhaps expansion into Central Africa as well. But the most important would be more access ...Jump to post

I think it all depends on bilateral. For East Asia, EK is restricted in China, Japan, and South Korea. I'm sure EK would love to expand in China to Chengdu, Chongqing, Hangzhou etc, but the bilateral is restricted. India is another place where they are restricted and I believe it's been 7 years sinc...Jump to post
I agree, OP needs to change the name to reflect the correct spelling. Glad to see EK expanding in South-East Asia. Would like to see EK eventually add Chiang Mai, Vientiane, Surabaya and Medan in the region. I hope to see more EK expansion in the future.Jump to post
I love how all the white people on this thread are taking the side of the racists who don't understand this world is diverse. Typical really.Jump to post
Miami could come later as a second daily to south Florida. What EK really needs is more rights to India, China, Germany, and Australia. The bread and butter for EK is to India from NA, but India rights are maxed out. Perhaps the business friendly Modi government will renege and allow for greater exp...Jump to post
