I guess statisticly a Southwest 737 would be about the safest combo, but I will have to go with a LH 747-400.
I also feel very safe on a 757 because there are about a 1000 in service and only had 3 or 4 crashes..none the fault of the aircraft.

The best service I have experience was on Lufthansa. The service was great on both A340 flights from LAX-FRA and the inter Europe flights were pretty great as well. The food, service and professionalism was the best I have experienced out of. VS, BA, JAL, MX, AF, IB, and every major U.S. airline.

I would do UA from PHL through SFO or DEN. I believe you would fly a A320 then a 777 on to HNL. It might not be the cheapest, but the airline and airplanes are great!

I believe VS uses a 747-400 on the 5:30pm flight and a A340-300 on the 9:00pm flight. Both are always crowded but enjoyable w/ the PTV's.

I also had 2 great although short flights with Iberia. BCN-MAD round trip. I flew a 757 and a A320. I also thought there cabins were bright and cheerful, and there FA's accomodating. I would definately fly them again...

Barcelona and Zurich are both very nice and have tons of shops. Zurich even has a market with fresh fruits and vegies. in the states I like what they did recently with the entrance to LAX. PIT has tons of shops and stuff to do.
