uppderdeckfan , have you ever travelled with EW? You indeed pay for checked bags , priority boarding and seat reservation ! They offer packages like Ryanair ( Basic , smart ... etc ) ! The A320/321 seem to be a good glider.
Right after it happened they must get the plan to keep plane level and go into the field. In such a stressful situation I think it proofs a good crew skill.

Ryanair cutting routes , selling planes ?

We recently saw announcements of Ryanair for base closures and route cuts for flights in the coming winter season. For the current S19 season they seem, even without Max, to have sufficient aircraft. Could the cutbacks in the winter be a massive sale off on their 737-800s ? I could imagine values fo...

Nice to see that AA is restarting TXL , but again with an aging 767? No wonder no one wants to fly with them. I mean I am a 767 fan , but flying AA in a 767 is like flying an airline in the 80‘s less the food options from the 80‘s !

Re: MOL warns of UK base closures and cuts in the coming week's

It seems that in addition to CGN-SXF (already mentioned in the Lufthansa thread) they are cutting OPO-LIS this winter season. This keeps me wondering: why isn’t FR more succesful in domestic markets other than Italy and Spain? LIS-OPO is around 3-4 hours by car, same goes for CGN-SXF which even has...

I flew that route with FR a few times with rock-bottom prices. It used to be 3-4 daily and now I see it is only flown during weekdays 1-2 daily. So Ryanair made a business decision stopping this route. For them profitability is most important. Domestic flights anyway got an disadvantage, because of...

Never understood why the European airlines, except TK, can`t fly with a proper business class. Exactly, it was a big mistake to jump on the extra revenue train like the LCC are doing. With this the legacies made their product perfectly comparable. Sometimes I get to laugh and cry how flights of legacies getting delayed when they are busy labelling hand luggage to go into the hold.

Are Eurowings actually a LCC. From a customer point of view I've travelled with them about 20 times in the last two years and I can only remember one fare below €200. If I look at BER-STR for Feb next year, i see EW for 159 and U2 for 67, so i don't see any amazing bargains. On top of this I would ...

I think has nothing to do with competition, thats just a lame excuse. In my personal opinion, they destroyed the brand within the last years. Well , Lufthansa also chose the 340 over the 777 and the 340-600 over the 777-300ER. Not always the smartest decision !
