I didn't like to pay for it on my airplane, but I will say its nice to be able to get a pictures of what traffic may be out there while I'm flying
Jump to postThat's Neat. I haven't seen one that lights up. After looking them up, I wish they were also in more "normal" scale. I'd like to have one, Just wouldn't fit in my collection sadly.

Nice report, the food looked pretty good.

Sounds like a fantastic trip. Sadly, being American, would prevent me from going. With the tensions between the two countries, I doubt I'd go anyways. However, It would be a great experience. I hope some of you guys get to go and share some pictures with us.
@salmonh - Yes, you are the only one.
I usually avoid pre-ordering through Ebay for this reason.
If the model has be released to the other retailers I'd submit a ticket to Ebay
If not, Might just have to wait. Releases get delayed sometimes.
Well written report. Nice pictures as well.
Thank you for sharing
Nice little video.

Get one if you can. They are great models. All diecast construction which is a little rare for Herpa now-a-days. It's a pretty large model even for 1/400. Noticeably outsizes the 747-800 in the cabinet it sits next to. Here are some pictures. https://photos.smugmug.com/Model-Collection-/Aviation-Col...
Jump to postNice trip report and video. The Super-80's days are numbered so I'm glad you got to fly it.

I guess I fail to see who this is Alaska Airlines's fault?
Jump to postAw Man I forgot all about Eastern going away. It was a nice dream though

I have to say the current United Airlines livery is the worst from a marketing standpoint. I was in an airport dinner the other day and over head some people talking about the airliners that were taking off. Upon departure of every United aircraft, they would say, there goes Continental. It seems to...
Jump to postHands down best looking livery ever was Trans World Airlines last livery before the merger with American. The colors and lay out were outstanding.
All be it a small airport with one gate, all American Eagle flights turn out from the gate at Longview, Texas (GGG). Also when AA sends diverted aircraft to GGG for weather or whatever reason the larger aircraft turn out as well.
Jump to postQW757 is the best bang for the buck in the FS9 world.... However, If your computer can handle it, I'd upgrade to P3D V3. Its Fantastic.
Jump to postAnother thing to look at.... While looking a search of photographs on the website, It loads everything but the preview pictures, it will not load the preview pictures until I scroll down and the whole square is in the window . I understand this is a small thing, but it proves to be rather annoying w...
Jump to postA lot, if not all, of your FSX addon's will work in P3D with a little work. Shouldn't be the end of the world and will be well worth the move. Trust me.

I've been wondering if the merger would turn into one company and two brands. Having two totally different customer cultures and aircraft doesn't allow for an easy merge I'd imagine. We shall see.

First Class on the old site- no ads. First Class on this site- ads every where . Annoying to say the least AN767 I got an add blocker add on for Chrome and that fixed the adds issue. It was horrible. Now, with the add blocker, not so bad. Its actually allowed me to explore more of the new features ...
Jump to postI haven't had any problems with FSX on Windows 10. I've since moved on to P3DV3 which runs without a problem.

I can get used to this new website, however, the add's have to go. I went from signing in and having no adds, to this. Not good in my eyes.
Are there no longer memberships? I couldn't find them under my profile and such.
If you like World War 2 aviation, you should read, "Those Who Fall" by John Muirhead, I just finished it and I was pleased.
Jump to postGreat news! Glad to see things are moving along.

What a disappointment. This is the one I was really excited about. But Nooooooo. Sad day. I feel like they should have maybe put RENO AIR on it somewhere. Or maybe, tie in "American" into the cheat line like Reno did big billboard style. Same font and style and color. I don't know. Just a thought. T...

Horrible.
For some reason, to me, Blue is much more relaxing than Orange. Orange or shades of red and yellow almost bring up the feeling of a headache. Orange is nothing but a depressing evening home alone.
They should have left it alone.
Fantastic stuff. I love the old retro shots and I love the history of aviation.

Thats interesting news. Maybe we could see a Superjet in the DFW area?

Matthew, Thanks for sharing the trip report. Nicely written and easy to follow. Nice pictures too. I love seeing pictures of my old home town of Juneau. Such a beautiful place. Ive really been thinking about moving back someday soon. (Texas is to hot) Anyways, I've flown the combi a few times from J...
Jump to postNice Trip report. Well written and easy to follow. I love the AA S-80's, and it will be sad for me when they are all gone from the skies. Nice Trip report. Looks like a good product for a narrow body.

Does anyone remember the old service on Midwest Express? Fresh Baked cookies in the air, actually provided a meal, and wonderful service. One of my favorite airlines.
Oh how the times have changed. Its sad really.

Test/Experimental Aircraft maybe? No need for windows. Good question though.
Jump to postLast I heard, the 737-400 will be around to 2017. Unknown to the truth of this....
The 739 will really help the airline expand. Alaska has a great product. I've flown them many times. I hope they expand further into North America and become a bigger player.
Thanks for sharing.
I wouldn't get to excited about these models. I heard the government and the airlines are getting after this company for lack of licensing for the livery's present on these models. So they may not be around very long.
I ordered the JetBlue and the Frontier models though.
I'm glad they kept the look they have and just updated it a little bit. Still a fantastic looking livery and I hope it stays the same for years to come.

This is were you need to go. They have 3 different levels of custom, from the usual desktop models, all the way up to clear windows and complete interiors. I've seen some of their models I person, and they are FANTASTIC. Lead time for a custom is about 6 to 8 weeks. Prices ranging from 150-400 dolla...
