On my PC, when monitoring Flightradar24.com, for KCDA, runway 19 approach (River Visual) the aircraft are tracked over the river, and then when they make a final right hand turn to the runway, the map shows they land in the river, when they are actually (per tower radio frequency 119.1) safely on t...Jump to post

We seem to be getting pretty rapidly to a point where the impacts are limited to NEW and MSY. There are 9E and MQ flights in the air to BTR now. JAN looks like it's operating normally, and BNA saw the worst weather overnight and is operating relatively normally (albeit quite wet) now. Which is unde...Jump to post

MSY, LFT, BTR, NEW, and GPT are all ATC-0, and LCH is ATC limited — all until tomorrow afternoon for now. Most of the Gulf routes are closed, including A770/L214/L333, as well as the Q/Y routes. NOAA currently has a P3 orbiting in/around the eye of the hurricane.Jump to post
Yup, should be a cool spotting opportunity for a couple months. Hoping to give them the benefit of the doubt that they've done their research, but I don't see how they can compete with DL on JFK-DSS and the connection on BWI-JFK-DSS is pretty brutal. But anyway, wishing them luck and the airline is...Jump to post
According to the GDS, Air Senegal’s new flight which begins on September 2nd will now route DSS-JFK-BWI instead of IAD. Air Senegal will be the only African carrier serving BWI since Ghana Airways collapsed in 2004. Well that's an odd choice. I didn't think the flight was going to last long at IAD,...Jump to post

I know GA flights used to use 4/22 frequently. Did they ever start allowing GA flights into DCA again? GA has been allowed to operate to DCA for years, provided they have permission. You can't just file a flight plan to DCA, there are a lot of hoops to jump through. I work DCA arrivals, and I'd say...Jump to post

PHX new train to the rental car facility goes above a taxiway. IDK the height but I’ve seen pics of a 747-400 going underneath The APM bridge is 75ft high, and has clearance for any aircraft up to Group V, which includes the 744. The bridge itself is actually much higher than that, because Taxiway ...Jump to post

While yes this is true, EWR is still a level 2 slot restricted airport. Airlines can not add flights freely they must be approved. This is exactly why B6 had to reduce their November schedule so much from EWR while UA fills all their “slots” with pointless flights with 0 demand. That's not how that...Jump to post
To keep the slots away from B6. EWR isn't slot controlled. They’re not flying EWR-DCA 18x for fun. They're essentially going back to doing what they did before, which is to jam up EWR to choke competition. EWR typically has metering restrictions and requires enroute holding frequently, which for a ...Jump to post
