The DC-10 Slats are pretty much the same thing, with the exception of the gap for the pylon. one need to realise that the two major operators of the MD11 never equipped them with PDUs on the main deck. Looking at numbers, it's safe to say around 90% of MD11s flying in the past decade were relying on muscle power on the main deck, close to 100% nowadays. it is a HUGE pain for ramp handlers....

The nose gear has a tie down point, there is an strap attachment to that from each side. They are not red everywhere, maybe to indicate remove before flight. Blocked pitot probes isn't much of a problem and shouldn't result in a crash if they have been blocked before take off. You simply wouldn't see a speed increase during the take off roll and would abort. That's what the 80 or 100 knots callout is there for. Blocked static ports are a bit more tricky....

Your guess is correct. It's an indication for the current air speed in relation to the speed set for the auto throttle / speed command system.

The MD11 has little latches on the ceiling to keep it open, similar to those that hold your tray table up. The 777F has a strap around the curtain.

I could have sworn that the MD-11F I flew on had a normal cockpit door, but maybe I was wrong. It does. But they were not upgraded to the bulletproof doors required for passenger operations. At my operator the door lock is still in place, but the key is always in the door knob... and there is a spa...

Definitely not hydraulic fluid.
Looks like somebody spilled some purple paint on the flap leading edge, halfheartedly cleaned it up with a rag, and retracted the flaps so nobody would see it before the flight.

AFAIK, on the 777, when the autopilot is engaged, the yoke mimics control inputs, not surface movement. But I'm not a 777 expert. And yes there are servomotors, and not so tiny ones. That's correct. The Primary Flight Computers send column, wheel and rudder pedal backdrive commands to the Autopilot...
