Perhaps only tangentially relevant, but I can think of at least one light twin where the wing-low slip method (held for anything longer than the last moment before touchdown) is not approved due to the risk of fuel flow disruption and resulting starvation & engine failure.

I don't know if this type of situation (closing part of a runway) is in the FARs or not, but is a LAHSO line required to be established on the runway in order for it to be eligible for being partially-closed? Or can this be done with any runway?
