Can you explain what you mean by this? As I said before, I find that DL has improved a lot the last few years.

Really? I actually think DL has become a really good airline, with very decent service. I find DL far better than KLM (hard product, crew is generally a bit friendlier on KL).

• Cold meals served in Business Class on some longer flights like FCO, which is over 2 hours of flying. People seem to have a pet-peeve with food on short(ish) flights; can't you be 2 hours without eating? If you can't, then pack your own food or buy in the terminal. I've never understood that cons...

Re: KLM becoming a bit sneaky and standards are falling...

I think the Embraer is an improvement over the Fokker. We lost the empty seat but you gain a better seat, less noise, better catering and higher speed (no extra flying time compared to a 737). The 787 Business seats are good, a huge improvement over the older planes the 787 is replacing. The Flying...

Being a loyal KLM-passenger for years (FB Platinum for life), I was until recently rather happy with the KLM product. Over the years KLM got a lot better and far more customer oriented. I am not too surprised as they tend to be inconsistent. Thank you. I am starting to find that out myself - not just with this flight. Eh it happens. A lot. I once found a soiled diaper was wedged between the seats on a Qantas flight (usually they're very good with a clean cabin). Don’t forget BA with 744 year round. CPT is primarily a leisure route, don’t forget. If you’re that bothered by the aircraft type, why not fly via JNB?
