Re: Wizz Air News and Discussion Thread

An ex-Qatar A330-200F (A7-AFF, bought by the Hungarian Government) will be operated by Wizz Air. What would they need a A330 for? They want to have a freighter which is instantly available during a crisis like the COVID outbreak, when masks, respirators and other equipment must be transported asap.

And while Hungary alwasy is protective, why sould Austria welcome them here? It's amazing, really. As an EU member, you have to treat all other EU companies equally, it is as simple as that. I was quite surprised to read Wizzair is starting Budapest to Astana. The bilateral was updated in November (with W6 representatives present), so after all it is not a big surprise that new flights are being added. Kazakhstan is trying hard to attract more tourists, and the country has been visa-fr...

Yes, I think they can use fewer flights and bigger planes. Do you have any data to back up this claim? We are talking about CO2 emission per passenger kilometer. What I could find is: about 69.7g for an A330 flying from Stockholm to New York, and 108.6g for a 737-600 Swedish domestic flight. In pra...
