There is a separate thread already, but I thought it would be good to post it here anyway.
FI returns to PDX in July!! Good news!!
For those who have gone through flight training in Oregon, I would say up to ATP, where did you train through? I currently have PPL 100+ hours, some time with instrument training but need to complete that. I've heard Hillsboro Aviation is good but extremely busy and gas prices are high, I have also...Jump to post
This article states that they will use the A330F.

Last month I was on a UA flight BRU-IAD with 19 passengers on a B787-10. I really hope for UA that there was some good paying cargo in the belly!Jump to post
I'm searching for a affordable return ticket from PDX-AMS for this June/July. I usually fly DL, even it's a bit more expensive, I prefer the non stop flight. This year the prices have been very high (around $1800, usually 1200-1300 in high season) so I'm looking for a 1 stop flight. Condor comes up ...Jump to post
KL will cancel some destinations and reduce others
Argentinian authorities arrested the flight crew of a Martinair B744F after they found coke on the plane.

The fuel supply system is back in action again according to the airports website. Good luck to the people that are still stuck and might not leave today.Jump to post
Noticed 9H-MIP is in the air from STN to??
Anybody an idea where it's going and for who it operates?
On a short flight for business just water of juice, on the way home sometimes a glass (but usually a plastic cup, lol) of wine. On the way to the vacation destination depending on the departure time I love a mimosa or cocktail at the airport. On long haul overnight flights I always have a few glasse...Jump to post

On a long overnight LAX-AMS flight I was in the middle seat next to a man who was complaining that there was only one choice of dinner left by the time the FA reached our row, he wanted chicken and nothing else, that annoyed me already. The FA went out of her way to get him the chicken from the J ca...Jump to post
Does anyone know if SY is getting passengers in/out of PDX? Whenever I look at a seat map they're very empty...except maybe MSP. What happens if you don't buy a seat assignment in advance? Is it free at check-in? I'm cautiously optimistic regarding PDX being a focus city...…………… I flew them recentl...Jump to post
I flew them last September from EWR-CPH and CPH-ORD both in Y. You only get 1 soda for free with the meal, if you want more you also have to pay. That is something that you get for free at some LCC's!!
Besides that the flight was good and I would fly them again.
I had it every time departing AMS on DL, but not when flying KL. So I thought that it was done only when flying on a US airline, until I departed from CPH on SK last month where they questioned me. By now I know all their questions since they're always the same!Jump to post
Got back last night form the trip, a short summary of my experiences: PDX-EWR on UA B737, not good, flight was on time and ok service but legroom was bad, I'm 6' and sat with my knees against the seat in front. EWR-CPH on A333, good, nice service, good seats and IFE, tasty meal, on time. CPH-WRO on ...Jump to post
Last year I was at LAX after a vacation with my girlfriend, she flew back home with AS and I flew with KL on a business trip to AMS. We decided to grab a bite to eat and a drink at T6 since her flight left an hour earlier, I would then go through the connecting tunnels to TBIT for my flight. TSA at ...Jump to post
I try to be careful with using hidden city as it is prohibited by the airlines. I just use it a handful of times each year spread across different carriers. While it can be risky, the savings are quite substantial, so worth it. A few weeks ago I needed to book a last minute LAX-EWR ticket . While t...Jump to post
DL PDX-AMS exists partly because of the Nike employees that travels in between the global HQ close to PDX and the European HQ close to AMSJump to post
Thanks a lot for the replies! I don't really care about the 1 hour intra Europe flight since it's so short, I'm more concerned about the 5ish hour flight from my hometown to EWR on UA!
I tried to bid for an upgrade but it starts at $360 instead of the advertised $155, so no thanks.
Dear fellow A nutters, I'm flying in September with SAS to Poland (via CPH) from the US. This will be a new airline for me, what can I expect in terms of service, food, entertainment, free or pay for alcohol, etc. So far I've only flown long haul with Delta and KLM, is it more or less the same? I'm ...Jump to post

Anyone suprised about this?
Long time lurker, 1st post! Although there's a very convenient direct flight, I did in 2016 PDX-YVR-YYZ-AMS, since it was on 2 tickets I stayed overnight in YVR to avoid a missed connection, I had a wedding to attend so I wanted to be on time. On the return it was AMS-LHR-YVR-PDX this time without a...Jump to post
