Re: Idaho Aviation - 2024

As noted before it is likely BOI passenger numbers will be flat or decline slightly as "revenge travel" ends, population growth slows/frozen real estate market, and the headwinds in the airline biz. Yeah, I have a feeling the airport will remain above 4 million, which in itself is a nice ...

It looks like BOI is finally beginning work on the rental car facility. The old state hangar has been torn down and fencing has been put up to shield the ramp up to departures from the construction site. I haven't seen anything about a groundbreaking ceremony, so I'm sure this is just site prep. Nic...

I am surprised how many people on this thread are just dismissing IAD. It makes far more sense than RDU since there is more O&D and they already dominate it. Northern Virginia is also growing rapidly. After years of working to get its costs down, IAD is now moving forward with with the first pha...

AUS was always a little opportunistic from BOI, but I am surprised they can’t make BOI-ORD work even seasonally with the AA/oneworld connection opportunities at ORD. Personally, I could see the AS/HA merger slightly increase the chances of BOI-HNL. Now Alaska will be able to connect BOI passengers in HNL. A lot of talk about new long-haul possibilities for the new AS-HA entity. What about the possibility that AS will look to offload HA's 330 widebodies/787 orders and get rid of HA's long-haul routes?
