Jump to postNoticed today that Air Canada has upgraded YYZ to two daily A320s. Also British Airways is back daily with the B789. Always nice to see bigger aircraft.
Jump to postThey have been working on it for a while. There’s a lot of work going on moving underground utilities. If you look next to runway 2R and just past the on-ramp to get on 40 East from Donelsom you’ll see a lot of equipment digging stuff up.
Jump to postYes the BNA vision is going to totally rework the internal roads at BNA. However Donelson pike has to be moved first which is currently in the beginning stages. You can see all the underground stuff currently being moved right next to rwy 2R.
Jump to postThink about the future employees that will be working for Amazon, Facebook, and Oracle in Nashville. All of these jobs will be six figures plus and those people will want to fly. I imagine AA is wanting to get those flyers that will be wanting to fly first class as well as corporate accounts. Just m...
Jump to postI read that. I think people were forced to use valet because there wasn’t anymore parking. I’m wondering why the economy lot wasn’t opened like it was during Christmas?
Jump to postWhat’s going on with the parking situation? The airport authority is apologizing on social media and several are complaining. I’m very surprised the economy lot isn’t opened and they haven’t reopened the employee lot. Where have the employees been parking at? How much longer until they open all the ...

British Airways will be back, not sure when. Donelson pike construction should start this summer. I have been seeing workers taking core samples along Donelson pike the past couple of weeks.
Jump to postThere's a brand new Spirit 320 NEO at Smyrna. Wonder what it's doing there. Still has the french registration. I read it flew in from BFM yesterday ahead of the hurricane. Do Airbus planes assembled in the US carry a French "pre" registration? I don’t know. Good news about the Admirals Cl...

Delta has been running an A220 since they restarted SLC. Next month it goes twice daily and to an A319 or B738. Not sure which one. Delta also appears to be starting LAX again next month with a B738 once daily and JFK restarts too with an A220 daily.
Jump to postNew ramp procedures start on the 15th. Should be interesting to watch.
Jump to postJust looking through some bookings today through next month and it appears Allegiant will be running close to a full schedule this week. Spirit will be close to pre-Covid schedule in July. Southwest is adding segments and cities back next month, and Delta appears to be adding some flights back in Ju...
Jump to postI’ve been driving through the terminal everyday on my way to work and paying attention to the spots available in the parking garage. Never under 1000 until today. Today there we’re around 500 available. So that’s a good thing.
Jump to postsouthwest1675 wrote:https://imgur.com/vfWwS9I Concourse C this morning. Things are slowly but surely picking up. All the flights I’ve worked this morning were booked over 100!
The airport was seen no different than the mall, and I knew many people who would get dinner at the airport restaurants and just watch the planes and people as a date. Those days are long gone sadly. I didn’t start working I’m the industry until 2009. However, even just as a long time frequent flye...
Jump to postAnyone have any dirt on that Learjet emergency landing that happened earlier this afternoon? Saw it happen from the observation area; LiveATC receivers aren't at 100% so I couldn't hear tower/ground, but the pilot said something about an engine fire. #1 engine failure. Upon check in with the tower ...
Jump to postThe last MD80 into BNA just landed.
Jump to postThe last Air Georgian flight left this morning. Air Canada will start flying to BNA today with two E-190’s. Not sure if this will be daily or not.

Time for a ramp tower? We’ve been saying this was going to happen for at least two years now.
We’ll get some Amazon birds because of all our connecting passengers.
Jump to postThe dispatchers and Captain’s both agree on the diversion airports. I was off work today but these storms were predicted at around the time they happened. So I’m going to assume multiple convective sigmets were forecasted for the area and the dispatchers knew ahead of time to plan for diversions and...
Jump to postBeing a lifelong Middle Tennessee resident I welcome the growth. My problem lies with leadership that is just allowing it to all go unchecked. I haven’t seen the budget that just passed but I know the fire and police departments were having budget problems and the public school system is absolutely ...
Jump to postThis is a Nashville Aviation Thread. Not a Compare SDF to BNA thread. You always have to derail the topic with snarky comments to try and undercut BNA. That’s why no one likes you and everyone should ignore your comments. I find it funny that the thread usually goes quite for a few days after you ma...
Jump to postA ? someone who works at the airport likely knows (it may be in this thread but lots of posts to wade through). I had some time to kill yesterday morning so I went to the observation area off Vultee Dr. In the 45 minutes I sat there (between 10:00-10:45), I noticed 2L/20R did not get a single movem...
Jump to postGeneral Departure Delays: at [BNA] Due to [ VOL:Volume ] traffic is experiencing Gate Hold and Taxi delays between 30 minutes and 44 minutes in length and increasing. More general FAA delays this morning. Wondering if this is runway issues or the fact that the center taxiway is still out of commiss...
Jump to postI would think you could put a concrete barrier on the double yellow line. They’re not that wide.
Jump to postAnother deadly head on crash on Donelson this morning. I know that whole area is being redone eventually but I don’t know why they can’t put up a concrete barrier in the middle. There appears to be enough room. I’ve been driving Donelson pike since 2001 and it makes me nervous every time still.
Jump to postIt was nice for the airport to recognize allergy season and light up the parking garage the color of pollen last night.
Jump to postWe’re down to two runways. One for arrivals and one for departures. Traffic will get backed up at times but not 15-30 mins.

New to this thread. Haven't had an account on airliners.Net in the past 16 years. Worked at BNA from a 1986 to 2003. Have been following the Nashville thread for over a year or two. Basically signed up again because I had some questions and wanted to post some pictures that I took from September 11...
Jump to postHas anyone noticed that as of the last few weeks that there have been numerous general departure delays? They have ranged from short (from this AM below), to 30-44 minutes. I wouldn't expect that we have airfield or airspace issues, unless it is something related to construction in the "pit&qu...

Jump to postWhenever a strong cold front comes through in the winter time our winds can be out of the northwest really strong at times. Usually 320@25 gusting to 35+. Is it a daily thing? No, but it is nice to have it. We usually wait until there are a couple of go-arounds before going to a straight 31 operatio...

Upgraded service to two CRJ-900's. So reduction in frequencies from 3-2 but bigger aircraft.
It must be all that connecting traffic BNA gets
Jump to postJust announced British Airways will be upgrading to the 787-900 going daily on March 31st.
Jump to postImpressive gains for BNA. 124 departures M-S and 133 departures on Sunday. This is what happens when you become a Focus City. Connecting traffic continues to grow at BNA (along with O&D...but it is connections that make this schedule possible) Good luck on your subsidized one flight a day to LA...
Jump to postPretty impressive. What’s with these Sunday only flights? They don’t make any sense.
Jump to postI’ve been commuting multiple times weekly on Delta BNA-ATL-BNA for 4 years. I’ve never been on a flight less than 75% full, even since they upgauged some flights to the 757. Jump to postWhen did WN ever fly BNA-ATL? I’ve been working at BNA since 2001 and I’ve never seen WN fly this route? Did WN ever serve ATL prior to the merger with Airtran?
