The shot of the TWA DC9 was the most errie for me knowing everyone on that plane was going to be dead in a short time. I know the photographer who took that shot quite well. Bob Garrard took the photo. He often shared that he was asked about the photo from major news outlets. His wife is from New Y...Jump to post
I rather wish that Airbus came up with a P2F conversion plan. I understand that there would be limited abilities for freight companies to handle the birds, but if the equipment were at at key distribution hubs I wonder if it would be feasible. It just seems wasteful to break up something that can s...Jump to post
BWI could be so much higher on this list if they just got the baggage issue solved. It is incredibly slow and has a very old infrastructure.Jump to post
So if this does go through, what changes with JetBlue's business model? Pardon my ignorance, I don't know their plans.Jump to post
Thankful everyone made it out safely. Let's hop that the A350 won't be too heavily damaged to be written off. Anyways, it is at least happy news that everyone made it out. The aviation community in general needs some happy news after the China Eastern 5735 crash. Am glad it didn't end up a tragedy ...Jump to post

This happens quite often. I know the Baltimore Ravens do this often with various promotions. I would think other teams do the same. Real-world examples please, as I know of few (if any) teams doing this. I personally know four people (unrelated in any fashion with each other) who have flown with th...Jump to post
N464MC was probably my favorite a/c. We rarely saw 747s into BWI. She was a workhorse and will be missedJump to post
I highly doubt season ticket holders would be on a team flight though. If they want to travel for their team, then they are on their own for travel (unless there's a special promotion, but I haven't heard of such an occurrence). This happens quite often. I know the Baltimore Ravens do this often wi...Jump to post
Looks like they'll be feet-dry just east of Gwadar shortly. This may sound like a really dumb question but why would the CIA be going INTO Afghanistan now...Just to remove sensitive equipment or extract high value government workers etc ? In or out who knows! C-17 heading back in https://www.flightradar24.com/RCH885/28cc9e66 How do you know that it is heading in? Because it is? https://www.flightradar24.com/WSLR51/28ccad8f taking the same route. As did the KC-130J and the C-17 before it. I'll be happy to rescind if I'm wrong. But I'm not. Cheers. Sorry ...Jump to post

Seems like Qatar will look for any excuse not to pay. I was thinking the same thing. Since QR already has these aircraft in their possession, I'd assume they were already paid for, so what is Qatar looking for an excuse to not to pay for? It was my understanding that Qatar recently had a beef with ...Jump to post

WOW was doing very well at BWI. Also, it seemed like everyone I knew back in Pittsburgh flew WOW to Iceland. When they added the A330, things tanked. Slow and steady to start will be good for them. This group seems to have capable minds and funding to make this work.Jump to post

Since the NG's have been doing the West Coast to Hawaii for a few decades now, it should be obvious that the MAX will have no issues.
Wait, who is flying the NG to Hawaii?
DL, AS, UA, WS, AQ and soon SY and WN.
Who isn't flying NG's to Hawaii?
The MAX should have no problems betwen LAX and HNL. Where did you come up with that theory, Let me guess, the internet? Surely you don't an ailine like SWA would buy an airplane without seriously evaluating all the possible route applications? Yo, chill out. It's not a theory but a question. It was...Jump to post

These are in fact former NA 767s. If I remember correctly, they formerly appeared in a 'sanitized' NA colors. No titles on the fuselage and certainly no massive US flag on the tail. When they were flying for North American (before North American shut down), they had the full livery, including the g...Jump to post

Just that word of caution on what you wish for. Expensive pilots opens the door to more automation in the cockpit using artificial intelligence, leading to 1-pilot cockpits, and eventually to fully automated aircraft cockpits.

It has been a bit since the news came out about AA dropping the six teams. We know Miami Air is picking up the Dolphins and Steelers. Has anyone heard who the rest of the teams will use this year? Holy crap. That was very intense and it seems no one was seriously hurt. They were conscious when first-responders arrived, and transported to a hospital. The pair’s vitals were good, said Capt.
