You propose matching the A220 to A320, and then proceed to explain that almost every other model by Airbus doesn't fit the A320 naming convention.

I think you may have the proposal backwards.

Re: How does thrust reversal create deceleration force?

I have heard this before but it doesn't make sense. A "disc" of sideways-moving air radiating from the engine is not still attached to the engine - so the air itself if moving sideways isn't acting as a brake. Is is, the air is rough and turbulent and thus adds more parasitic drag to othe...

Re: How does thrust reversal create deceleration force?

1. Most of the thrust comes from fan flow, not from core flow. So hot flow doesn't make true difference 2. Someone here mentioned that trust redirection is not the main process. Airflow around the plane is disturbed due to redirected air, and drag increases significantly. As far as I understand, th...

Dumb question, but how does a bullet puncture the fuselage from above ? Does the flight path have any mountains near by? What goes up, usually comes back down. It will only be falling like a rock on the way down, far too slow to puncture the aircraft and leave “entry” wounds as seen in the photo On...
