Of course it was rejected. The only carriers on the MIA-SCL route are both American and LATAM. And that's just one reason why it was rejected.

Yes, those 2 Boeing 787-9 will be deployed on the LIM-MAD-LIM route and maybe a LIM-SCL-LIM rotation.

The 767-300ER will continue to be the backbone of LP's long-haul operation.

Actually JFK already sees the 787-9 as the JFK-LIM-SCL route is operated by LATAM Chile.

LATAM Perú to operate 787-9s

LATAM will base 2 Boeing 787-9 in Lima from late September. The first route that will see the 789 is LIM-MAD-LIM, which is currently operated on the 767-300ER. Other routes, such as LIM-BCN-LIM and LIM-LAX-LIM, are expected to be upgauged to the 787-9. On a related note, LP is set to relaunch the LI...

As far as I know only San Francisco and Chicago are being considered as future routes in the medium term.

LIM-SFO-LIM would be a service resumption, while SCL/LIM-ORD would be a brand new route for LATAM.
